I hope someone can please help me. I bought DH a watch at the WOD store. Really nice watch with a square face, gold Mickey peeking out at the bottom of the face of the watch with roman numerals. I had just replaced the battery and he wore it to work. A guy he works with commented on the watch so DH took it off tto show him and, yes, he dropped it. Cracked the crystal. I took it to our jewelry store who can fix anything. Well, almost anything I found out. They sent it out and back it came and they told me they cannot repair the watch because the crystal is beveled. They could replace it with a flat crystal but it would change the look of the face of the watch. Their suggestion was to contact Disney.

I called Disney and was told that they do not do repairs. Tried a couple of other jewelers and was told the same thing - contact Disney. The back of the watch says "Disney Time Works" so I do not know who made this watch for Disney. Does anyone have ANY suggestions on where or who I can contact to have this watch repaired or who made this watch for Disney?

I really would like to avoid replacing it with a flat crystal without trying everything. Anyone out there have any suggesions????? We would really appreciate it. The boards seem to have answers to just about everything!

THANKS!:earsboy:

Have you tried checking out places that specialize in just clocks and watches, not jewellery? That's what I had to do when DH had a problem with his European made watch.

Ok I found this for you,

Many of the more modern Disney collectible character watches available today were manufactured by Lorus, a division of Seiko, from 1986 to the late 1990's. Seiko was awarded the plum license for manufacturing Disney watches in 1986, after it was relinquished by Bradley and Helbros, and they are the major manufacturer for Disney watch models to this day.

So I went to Seiko and found this:

Which watch brands do you look after?
We look after the repair and service for these watch brands - Seiko, Pulsar, Lorus, Breil, D&G Time, Nike, Disney and Seiko clocks.

So I would contact Seiko, this is from their website, Please contact the nearest Seiko Service Center: New Jersey (201) 529-3316 or Puerto Rico (787) 750-7190.

Hope you can get it fixed. My DH has many of their watches, Thankfully no problems except for batteries so far.
