got everything on our list.

We didn't want a whole bunch....the tree set they had for $40, Don't Break the Ice Game, UP Leapster game, boys pajama sets.... but all were available, and he was in and out of the store in 30 mintues. We also got two $10 gift cards -- one for being over $100 in sales, and one for another item that came with a gift card. He also got something for me, but won't tell me what it is!

My DH got there at 4:55, got in at 5:05, got the keyboard that I want for Christmas, and was out of there at 5:15! Yeah him! :worship:

haha - I was with your DH. I went out at 9:30 this morning, got what I needed and walked right up to a register with no line. The cashier did say that 7am (when they opened here) was CHAOS! We live up the street and could hear the masses waiting on line at 5am - DH went out with our dog and said the line was around the building. :scared1:

Target was really well stocked on their Door Busters this year. They had a cage thing with the DS' rolled up to the register when I went back at 10:30 and there had to be 50 of them still in the cage. I saw people leaving with 4 or 5 of the coolpix camera that was on special at 5 AM and yet at 10:30 they still had at least 20 on the shelf. Same goes for the DVD player.

We started at toys r us,got in line at 9pm and we were the first to get in (line was wrapped around the bldg 2 X! ) They were VERY crazy! Then we headed to kohls so I could get my down comforters (got 3 king size, dif colors)the sign said 29.00 but I paid 24.00, they are all we use so I made sure to get them. Then headed to target to get in line,we got in right at 5 am and got 3 sandwhich makers,1 toaster,6 pj sets (they were charging 5.00 even for adult sizes)2 sherpa hoodies for the kids,1 dig pic frame for 29.00,big nerf gun, robe, flannel king sheets for 13.00,bakumon battle set 10.00 ,3 dvds,2 pairs of really cool jeans for my son for 6.00 each and candyland.my dh and I split up and got everything in 10 minutes and were checked out by 5:30!! I am glad because the line was wrapped around the inside of the store to check out!I went back to kohls later and got a very pretty dinner set (setting for 8) it was white with silver trim for holiday dinners for 29.00!I went to walgreens and got my mom the antonio bandaris (sp) perfume for women at 75% off so it was 5.78.....we finished all our shopping in one day:cool1:

Odd that Target had plenty of the big demand items but somehow managed to completely run out of the 24 pack of playdoh for $6.99!:confused3

We went at 7AM and there were employees standing at the entrance handing out GPS's. It wasn't the one we wanted and asked where the Garmin was, an employee escorted us to the exact location, we went to the register - no line, paid and were out by 7:10. Amazing, plus the $10 gift cards!

Another big thumbs up to Target from me. I went in at 11:15 just to see if they had any *maybe's* left on our list. Got the drum pad, 2 video rocker chairs, a bunch of $5 pj's, some assorted groceries, and a few puzzles and checked out just before noon with a bonus $10 gift card (I didn't know about the promo then). The parking lot was nuts, but they were very well stocked and every cashier was open and customers were breezing through check out. :thumbsup2

Mind you I went to TRU last night at midnight, saw well over 1,000 people in line (wrapped around the building and filled the back parking lot) and decided to shop online at home. Picked up what I needed, headed to bed, went back to TRU at 10:30 just to see if they had some random smaller things and the store was annihilated, lines were a mess and people were frazzled (employees were super nice though!), so just left.

Target was the clear winner in organization here this year.

I went to Target, Toys R Us and Walmart and all of them had nothing I was looking for. It was definitely an unsuccessful black Friday for me. Thankfully the Apple store online had exactly what I was looking for. :surfweb:

I went to Target at 9:30 this morning. I was looking for the external hard drive for 59.88. There were none on the shelf, but the sales associates were so nice; they scanned the bar code and went to the back to get me one(and put more out as well) I got the video rocker, $10 4GB memory cards and the $25 Itunes gift card for $20. The gc actually rang up $25, but the cashier corrected it for me. I got the $10 gc for spending over $10. I had no lines and was out by 10am.

My mom and I got to target at 6am this morning, and I got one of the last few packs of playdoh that the sales person said they had just rolled out from the back. I was surprised too that the playdoh of all things was one of the first things to go, but it was a steal!

HaHa, I had to laugh when I read the 7am part, I hate the freakin blue law! I live about 5 minutes from you, we made the same mistake a few years ago and waited outside in the freezing cold for almost 2 hours because the ad's said that Toys R Us opened at 5am. We completely forgot about the blue law and so did about 100 other people, I never saw so many angry frozen people, LOL! Now, we head up to the Rockaway mall. When we got to Target before 6am the lines for the registers were almost out the door. My DH waited on line 45+ minutes while I shopped and brought things back to the cart. When we finally decided to go to Wal-Mart at 12 noon there was no wait at the registers and we found just about everything we needed.

LOL! I was pretty upset about the playdoh thing ... and then I literally ran into it in the baby department ... go figure.

I dropped my daughter at work before 5:30 and by the time I got to Bath Bed and Beyond, they were opened, walked in got what I wanted and was back in car in minutes

After picking her up at work at 9:30, we went to Staples just to check out more laptops walked in the gentlman asked if we were looking for one of their laptops - said maybe - he said we have one left I asked could he hold it while we checked out what they also had - he walked with us while we compared and ended up with it - also got the free printer and a couple of other small items

Next stopped at Meijers - found the dvd and portable dvd players - they still had a few of each, plus their 499.00 tvs - they were annoucing how many they had

by noon was driving through post office to drop off mail, and heading for lunch

Done except for savings bonds for nieces and nephews and one more thing for mom

Had no waits to check out anywhere - loved that

I got to Target at 4:45 this morning and was amazed at how many people were in line to get in. I have been going there for first for the last 5 years and have never seen so many people in line. I waited until the line had entered the store which was about 5:15. I was able to get the movies I wanted as well as the Pink DSi. I walked out with 2 gift cards, one for over $100 and the other for buying a Wii game. :thumbsup2

I got to Target at 4:45am and the line was wrapped down the strip but we got in right at 5 and got exactly what we wanted, the coolpix camera, iPod docking station with cd player, and some clothes and dvds.

My only grip was that it took that particular target awhile to get checkout lines straightened out and waited 1 hour to be rung out. But for what we got it was worth it.

We also "slept in" and got to Target well after opening. We arrived at 8:15am. It was busy but not insane or way overcrowded. I snagged a Play-doh set (duffle bag, no big packs left), 2 board games, a $3.99 DVD, 3 of the iTunes gift cards, and a sweater for myself. The iTunes gc's rang up full price and I had to go through a supervisor and a manager before they honored the ad. Other than that, no waiting. Also got a $10 Target gc for spening over $100.
We're going back tomorrow morning for some non-doorbusters that will still be on sale.

Is it PLay doh sets you are looking for or just the playdoh? When I was in Big Lots, they had the 24 pack of the small canisters for $5 or $6. That was the regular price. DS is 15, but hardly ever got to play with playdoh. He'd get it in the carpet, even when we did it in the kitchen, LOL.
