It was fun! :flower: We stayed up late munching popcorn and watched:
Red-Eye
My Date With Drew
Wedding Crashers
The 40 Year Old Virgin

They were all pretty good, but I have to say we didn't miss too much by not seeing them in the theater. We don't go to movies very often, and lately it seems like we're not missing much. :confused3 The movies are good but not good enough to spend a small fortune on a sitter and tickets and snacks and parking (in some cases). I guess I'll keep waiting for them to go to DVD and have more movie nights. :teeth:

We hardly ever go to the movies! I wait until they come out on DVD, buy them own, watch them over and over, etc. We also make pop-corn and different snacks. DH just got a real nice home theater system to go with the bigt screen! :goodvibes It is getting so expensive to go to see a movie anymore! Glad you enjoyed your night!

I watched Wedding Crashers and 40 year old Virgin last week. I agree with you, they were alright but nothing to shell out 40 bucks for. I was really excited about watching them b/c everyone said they were the funniest movies EVER......well, they had their funny moments but I wasn't impressed.

We do marathon's too. Usually on weekends though because we don't have to get up for work.

This past weekend was:
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" As soon as I saw it was from "Focus Features" I knew we were in for a wacko film. However, I must say that this one wasn't as bad as most of the ones we've seen from that bunch. It actually made some sense.

"Alexander" First I have to say that I don't mind long movies. In fact, I think I prefer them. They don't feel as rushed and there tends to be more substance. This one, however, was a total waste of three hours. (In the words of Bill The Cat, "Ack, Gag, Barf")

"Hitch" This weeks winner! Fun movie, good laughs. But not too heavy and nothing too dramatic. Wouldn't mind finding a widescreen version somewhere at a good price.

IMO home theater sound technology changed everything. I used to go to action films to "hear" the theater sound. Now the only thing theaters have over my home setup is the larger than life picture. Very few films are "big" enough for me to go to the theater to see them.

Ah, movies...my favorite thing. I rarely go to the theater these days as well.

"Must Love Dogs"...I loved it! It was different in a quirky "John Cusack" way. 100% chick flick

"Godzilla Final Wars" (haven't watched yet) 2004 movie, not sure if I have seen it or not. Has a good rating so I will see.

"Sahara"...ooolala...it is Matthew McConaughey in a "Indiana Jones"-type role.
Very hot and the movie was OK too.

"Left Behind 3"...I have to watch it, just because it is an "end of the world", "good vs evil" series. Waiting on it.

Yeah, we were hating life this morning! :teeth:

And after I got up and got the kids ready for school we decided to check the school closings and delays just to be safe and wouldn't ya know it..... their school was closed!! No snow, but freezing rain and drizzle! We could have slept in after all. :rotfl2:
