Has anyone stayed at this hotel and used the "park and fly" lately? I was on the hotel website and it says that you can book a room and park package for $139.00 if you phone the hotel directly. Whwn I called they told me that it was $169.00 which is still a good rate but..... has anyone stayed ther lately and got the cheaper rate? Thanks.

We have booked the Mariott beside the airport, park and fly for the Friday before March break for $99 including up to 8 days of parking.
It looks like a nice place, and has breakfast and indoor pool.
Here is the link.

which westin hotel - the worldgate one?? That's a great rate if it is considering the website says it is $279.00. I also checked the Marriot and it is $169.00. We arew staying at the crowne Plaza for $147.00 which includes a week of parking.

we got the fairfield by detroit for 109 plus tax including 8 days of parking. Will let you know in 17 more days how it was ;) :cool1:

The Westin right in the terminal (McNamara). 8 days parking, valet parking included. I found this rate through the NWA website after I booked my airfare, but I do not think that you have to fly NWA. Just phone the hotel directly @ 1-734-942-6500 and refer to code MLT. IT still sys $139.00 on the website but the hotel says $169.00 which I can live with. Just pull your car to the front door and when you get back, they will bring the car to you.

We'll be there the Thursday night. We fly out to San Juan on Friday after lunch for our 'non-Disney' vacation :rolleyes1

17 days and counting :cool1:

We just booked the park and fly at the Ramada near DTW.

Stayed there before and the rooms was ok for a night.

I think I figured out the problem - weekday rates at the Westin are way more than weekend - go figure! We needed it for Monday March 3rd. NWA gave me a rate of $318.00 with the code - the hotel direct said they could do it for $285. I think we'll be sticking to the Crowne Plaza but thanks for the information.

We stayed at the Westin in the Detroit Airport a couple of years ago and loved it! :goodvibes While the prices may be a little higher now, I found the best rate on Expedia. I think we paid $99 CAD + tax for it.

We didn't do the park and fly. We parked on the "Big Blue Deck", you can find info about this on the airport website... I think it was $6 per night which seemed like a good deal to us. There was a free shuttle to the hotel and we got to our terminal without leaving the hotel/airport.

Cedric the Entertainer was staying there when we were there... we just saw him chatting in the lobby. And, DH loved watching the runway from our bedroom window! :wizard:
