What is the cheapest airfare you have paid flying from metro to orlando? They have some for around $200 a person but I want to wait to see if they go any cheaper. We are flying out in May. If you have found them cheaper who from?![]()
We're also going in May (sat - sat) and I've yet to find any of the fantastic deals others have mentioned. In January I saw $79 each way non-stop with AirTran and grabbed it. I haven't seen anything better since.
We're also going down in November for a cruise so I've still been checking rather regularly - AirTran, Northwest, Spirit, Southwest. I still haven't seen a better rate than the $79 each way.
I'm already shopping around for prices just to get an idea for next years trip!![]()
So far Airtran hasn't been bad at $89 base, but I can't do that because you can't pre arrange seats with that price. It'll be a toss up of Spirit and NWA or SWA. We'll drive into Detroit from Lansing or hire a driver. I'm hashing it out for either way with airport parking and such.
Have fun shopping around. We're traveling mid week, so the amounts are pretty good during that time.
I sure wouldn't let the seating deter you unless you're planning on travelling on a really busy day. Airtran lets you book your seats online 24 hours before your departure and I've never had a problem getting seats together.
I believe it is called Michiganflyer.com and they provide bus transportation eight times or so a day from Lansing and Jackson. It seemed pretty reasonable to me.
It really helps to check everyday. I went in Jan over MLK holiday for 49 each way. Both Spirit and Airtran (non-stop) had the same fare. I went with Spirit because they had better times.
