Hello All,

I have a few questions, we are going down to WDW in March 2012, we want to buy DVC, from Diseny.

How long does it take to close the deal?

We are coming down from Canada and will not need any sort of financing, and that brings me to another question what types of payment do they accept?

Is it a case we pay and they send us the rest by mail or will we be running around to get papers made legal?

Thank you all!!!!

We did it in April 2010. Everything is done in a few hours and you can even make your first reservation on the spot with the help of your guide. Sometimes, they can even create availability as a first reservation perk depending on what you want.

As a form of payment, we used a credit card. In order to pay for an amount above our limit we deposited the amount before leaving and we notified the credit card company of what we where doing and everything went fine. We even received all the aeroplan miles on our cc for the transaction

Just note that the actual closing does not take place when you sign the contracts and pay anything at WDW but instead about a month later. You don't need to go to any closing. Also, you have 10 days after signing all the documents to rescind the deal.

Good to know, wasn't sure if I had to bring a certiifed check or something to that effect....

Yes, the actuall final closing documents just come in the mail ,sign everything ,
send it back and your done !
Easy ;)

For some provinces in Canada (like Quebec), the documents cannot be send for signature as DVD does not hold a license here. So everything is done on the same visit. I believe Ontario is one of the province that can receive the documents but I am not 100% sure. In our case, we had to sign everything on site. It took us about an hour to go through all the documents. It was done on a separate day as the tour. The only document we received after that was the proof of insurance and our copy of the closing documents that we had previously signed.
