My family is planning our first trip to Disney World in May. We have decided on the quick service dining plan, however we want to save most of our actual snack credits until the end of the trip to bring certain things that the kids will enjoy back home with us. My question is how portable are the desserts, are they packaged in a way that they would be able to be transported later to eat in place of getting a snack or are there desserts that we could package ourselves ie cookies, brownies to have later if we put them in Ziploc bags. Also recommended places for good desserts that travel well would be appreciated. I have tried to do research myself, but am not really having luck looking into the matter. The whole planning of the trip is a bit overwhelming. Thank you for your time and advice in advance.

most quick service desserts are in containers that are quite transportable.
for example my family NEVER eats our dessert at cosmic ray's starlight café cuz we are too full so we take some forks and put the containers in our bags to eat at the hotel either as a before bed snack or keep them for morning and eat them as our breakfast cuz we are not big breakfast eaters.

and if the dessert does not actually come in a container you can ask for one and generally they have something available to give you.

and yes most places also have something that is already in a bag like a cookie or brownie or in the case of say sunshine seasons food court in epcot they have paper bags you can put them into and you could bring a ziplock baggie to put it into for extra protection against potential crumbs.

Casey's Corner (mmmm... BBQ hotdog) has cotton candy in a bag for dessert. We saved ours and brought it back home. :)

Thank you both for the replies. I definitely will have to check out caseys corner. I have a 5 and 4 year old that will love the cotton candy and my youngest will be a little over 1 then, so maybe I can introduce him to it also.

Many places also have cupcakes as a dessert option- they are often quite large and decorated heavily! YUM! The are served on a plate but as PP stated you can probably ask them for some type of to-go container. Enjoy!
