Dessert samplers

I notice that Le Cellier and Rose & Crown do dessert samplers - very nice they look too . Can anyone tell me if they count as a dessert on the Dining Plan? Thanks.

I doubt it seriously. The cost is higher then a regular desseert.

For dessert sampler fans, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Spoodles do them, too. They are wonderful!

I believe I have read on other posts of people's dining reviews that you can get a sampler, but it counts as the dessert for two people.

DH and I were allowed to split the sampler on the dining plan at Le Cellier. They count this as 2 desserts which was fine with us.

So which would you recommend... sharing a sampler or getting 2 desserts??

In January I got the desert sampler at Le Cellier all to myself and they included it in the dining plan, the person I was with also got his own desert so I know they didn't count it as two. I asked our server before hand and he said it was part of the plan. It was SO MUCH FOOD. I have no self control and obviously ate pretty much the entire thing, I was useless for the next two hours. My advice would be to share it anyway!! There is PLENTY for two people!

Does anyone know how often the sampler is available at Chefs de France? I wanted to order it in December when we were there at lunch but it wasn't on the menu. Is it only available at dinner or is it something not on the menu that you have to know to ask for? After seeing that picture of it on the picture thread I really wanted to try it.
