We are planning 2 dessert parties on our trip and I wanted to get people's opinions on our strategies. I have only ever done one at DL with Fantasmic, but that was before it was a "thing", and was sort of an unadvertised event.
FYI-we are going mid-September and are only 2 adults.
Party 1: Happily Ever After with garden plaza viewing:
Will be doing this on a Monday evening (due to Halloween parties and dining reservations it was the only day that would work). We will be at AK early that morning, for am EMH. Then will spend the morning and early afternoon at AK, before hopping to MK (via express bus).
Food: breakfast snack in room/bus/before AK opening (granola bar or boxed cereal or something). Then actual breakfast late morning at Satuli Canteen. Rather than doing a proper dinner, we would maybe do a larger late lunch at Flame Tree BBQ (I've heard their portions are large), so we would have plenty of room for desserts! Would it be too late though, and should we instead do a light lunch in AK and a light dinner in MK (maybe each time sharing a QS meal)?
Party 2: Star Wars dessert
Will be doing this Tuesday evening. That morning we won't be at parks, instead sleeping in and relaxing at pool. Maybe a bit of Disney Springs. Probably do brunch at the POFQ food court. Then early dinner at Art Smith Homecoming (4:30pm), before heading over to HS, going on a few rides via FP+, then desserts. Should we try to do dinner earlier so we have plenty of time to enjoy rides at HS? Because we have the dining plan, it comes with dessert, so we may get the doughnuts to go, take them back to the resort, and then hop bus to HS so we can enjoy them the next morning.
