Dessert Party and Food Allergies

I am wondering if any of my fellow Disers have experience attending a dessert party with food allergies. I am planning my son's 9th birthday trip and I think this would be a cool experience for him but he has an egg allergy. Most desserts are usually prepared with eggs so I am wondering if Disney is pretty good about supplying things for someone with a food allergy at the parties. We have always been impressed with how Disney goes out of their way for people with food allergies and how they cater to them. The chefs always seem to go above and beyond at the restaurants and buffets to make sure that he gets something that he likes to eat by preparing him his own dishes, which a lot of times are not on the menu for that particular restaurant. I am wondering if the parties are the same way. Will they provide extra things for him or will he just have to choose from the items on their menu that are egg free? TIA!

We went to the Frozen dessert party with someone who had a gluten allergy. They were brought an allergy box with 6 or so desserts. There were some vegan desserts in jars and a variety of Enjoy Life cookies/brownies. Also, there were fresh fruits available on the buffet. Just be sure to note the allergy when you reserve.

My daughter has a nut allergy. They did provide her a dessert plate as well as walked us through the buffet to discuss what had nuts and what did not. Disney is awesome with food allergies!

When you book for the party, you must indicate that there is an allergy. The dessert party items are not prepared on site and they have to know to provide enough allergy-safe items.

Thanks everyone! I am thinking about booking the Symphony in the Stars since he is a Star Wars fan. It is great to know that they can accommodate him.

Just found this thread, great to know they can accommodate allergies.

@yulilin3, do you know if the "no added sugar" desserts had artificial sweeteners? In addition to other allergies, I can't have artificial sweeteners either. I'd hate to book a party and not be able to enjoy the goodies.

I went to the Illuminations dessert party in Oct 2015. I'm gluten free and my options were soft-serve ice cream and a few pre-packaged brownies/cookies that can be bought pretty much anywhere. For the price I found that disappointing. Yes it's nice they have something, but it would have been nice to have some "fresh" options.

That might solve it! (Going in October) But I am still curious.
