My BF and I are going Sept 14-21. We are going to MNSSHP on the 18th. Would like to splurge for dessert party. Should I do Hallowwishes or EPCOT? Is Tomorrowland or Garden better? Thank you!

If you do end up doing the MK dessert party, the Garden is generally considered the better view (and cheaper). The downside is that there are no chairs in the garden (but there are chairs during the dessert portion). The positives for the FEA party are (obviously) the ride on Frozen...and alcohol :) However, it's not really that hard to find a good spot for Illuminations. So the dessert party is less "necessary" in that regard.

There are many who do think the big splurge is worth it - no way for us. We don't usually have any issues finding great spots for fireworks, show, whatever.

I'm with North of Mouse; for us, a dessert party isn't worth it. We don't eat large quantities of desserts, so if I wanted I'd buy something special, add in some nice drink, and stake a spot.

September isn't really a super busy time. I'm going the 10th-24th (short trip), and touring plans has the crowd calendar between 1-4 most parks most days, except Epcot on the Saturday as a 5. Knowing that, I'm sure it's quite easy to find a nice spot to watch fireworks.

We did Hollowishes and actually left after we ate the desserts because we felt like it was too long of wait for the fireworks and we wanted to do more rides so I would skip that one. I'm actually booked for the Star Wars dessert party right now but would try the Epcot one too. I enjoy the dessert parties.

I wouldn't be able to justify spending the money for the dessert party on top of the cost of the MNSSHP. There are plenty of things to do during the party, like going on rides and trick or treating, plus special character photo ops and dance parties. Plus the awesome parade. Don't forget your commemorative Sorcerer's card for the party. The fireworks are best seen from the middle hub, but you can also see them from Frontierland and other areas, the perspective is a little off. The fireworks also have the special bursts 180 degree which are cool to view from the center.

The MK dessert party is 100% worth it for us due to the reserved fireworks viewing area. We are going to do it twice on our trip (HEA is only 3 times that week due to parties).

In my limited experience, I don’t think it would be valuable during a party because it’s not nearly as crowded for the fireworks during a party (and you are already paying for the party). We were able to find a good viewing spot during the party without a problem.

Dont waste your money on a dessert party during the MNSSHP... if you go to Mk on a non party night do it then! You can see Illuminations from anywhere...so I wouldn't bother.. unless you are a big Frozen fan... otherwise you have the Star Wars fan and do the one at HS!

If you were going to do a dessert party, I would do HEA in MK as that one you need a good view of castle to see all the projections

I've never done a dessert party, but have considered it for Magic Kingdom. I've watched fireworks from the hub twice and it is an insane amount of people squished into a tiny space. My Fiance doesn't do well with crowds and I can't make him do that again. So if I decide to watch the fireworks I would book the dessert party there. It gets you away from the masses. I think the garden view would be better since it's head on, but the other provides seats. Definitely not worth it for Epcot. You can view the fireworks from anywhere on the lagoon and can show up right before they start.

My husband and I did the FEA one at EPCOT in June. I liked the price better than the MK ones because it includes adult beverages. That said, they weren't very good LOL. The desserts were okay, the best was the warm cottage puddings with ice cream. The cheese fondue was DELICIOUS though. Unfortunately our party was held inside because of the weather so I think that dampered our experience a bit. The views for Illuminations were great though without having to camp out, and riding Frozen with no wait was a neat experience.

*I* said I don't think it was worth it, but my husband disagreed and thinks our kids would enjoy it.
