The short story:

I told the kids no WDW this summer. The kids mounted a campaign complete with posters and I caved. My BF and I are leaving hubbies and packing up a minivan with all our heathens and driving 12 hours to WDW.

I have an annual pass. I been waiting patiently for my AP rates. :rolleyes1
Finally they are here and no moderates! Best we can do are 2 studios at Saratoga Springs $159/ night. I would do this but this is too much $ for BF.

So I see our only choice is to go off property. We will need a 2 bedroom, close to WDW, preferably with a full kitchen and with shuttle service to the parks. (We will drive, but BF will be leaving earlier in the evenings to return to the rooms with the little ones)

This is where the panic comes in. I am going out of town tomorrow for a week and we really need to get this booked before I leave. I don't know anything about any of the condos off site and I need your advise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far here is what I know-

Floridays has good rates but several Disers have said that they are not complete and they don't see how they will be finished by Jul 5. (counts them out for us)

Sheraton Vistana- have heard this is nice, unless you get the old section. Is there any way to guarantee you get a newer unit??

Several people have recommended Sunterra & Cypress Pointe.

Please give me your recommendations. I know you guys can help me! :grouphug:

the timeshares are not going to have FREE shuttles.

some will them for a fee - others won't have them period.

I think both Sheraton Vistana Resort and Cypress Pointe have a shuttle for a fee....

I would be prepared to drive your BF and kids back to the resort....

Cypress pointe is not far - so at most you will miss around 30 minutes (probably not that long) of park time. okay does not include the time necessary to get to the car.....

Sunterra & Cypress Pointe - Sunterra is the brand name for several resorts in the area including Cypress Pointe

I too think Cypress Pointe thru hotelkingdom.com would be a good choice.

Are there any values?

We just got back from Saratoga in a studio, we rented points. It was great.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo, full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms at Windsor Hills. We have 6 kids and had plenty of room. We spent about $87 a night. I would highly recommend Windsor Hills!

It took us 10 min to arrive at the TTC at MK and 5 to AK.

We're renting through vacationrentals.com. We got a great deal through an owner. There's no shuttle from our condo, but some of the others I looked at did have shuttle service.

Windsor Hills condos are the way to go for you! They're an easy 7 minute ride to Disney, they're new, and the resort is fantastic. Go to vrbo.com, click Florida, then Orlando, then Kissimmee. Windsor Hills will come up as a choice from a list of about 50 "neighborhoods". Click it, and you'll get all the condos available. There are plenty of three bedroom units for around $90 a night. It can't be beat. You'll love it!
