Desperate Housewives Season Six - Spoilers Welcome

Is there a new DH thread or did everybody lose interest?

When did DH become an afternoon soap opera? Really? Susan has to be a hoochie-koo online because she has money that she can use to remain in their home but her husband doesn't want to use her money to help support their family? STUPID!

Really? Linette has an oldtime friend whom she obviously doesn't like unless she is letting her own hair down in NYC with her, but the friend is getting divorced and goes to her college roommate for comfort and decides to move into the neighborhood she's been bashing?

Oh, but the new hot momma on the street and Bree are going to fight over a man who is much younger than they are? Really? And after Bree knows that he went home with the newest HW, she still wants him? Ewww...

Of course, Juanita isn't Gaby's DD. Who would have guessed otherwise?

I just hate the storylines this year. I'm still watching, but with many other good shows on Sunday night, this one is hanging on by a thread on my DVR.

I agree, they need to change something or else I might quit watching. The story lines this year are lame, and there's not even one of them that I'm at all invested in.

I forgot to mention Linette turning all "Tom Cruise" on her DH when he said the dr wanted to put him on an anti-anxiety med. What message does it send to everyone who watches DH that they should try to snap out of their anxiety or depression on their own? Sometimes you need a little something extra to help get you through a time in your life. What's so wrong with that?

I also hate the character of Paul Young, so I was not happy to see him back.

What kills me is that she threw such a fit last season because Mike was keeping things from her (i.e., his financial difficulties), but now she is flat-out lying about where she's getting her money -- how does that make any sense?

Yeah, like it's believable that the old college friend would move to Fairfield of all places.

Is it just me or does Juanita remind you of the kid from the movie "Up"?

Isn't this the last season? If so, I will watch it play out . . .

In true DH format, I am scratching my head again over Sunday's show.

Who schedules a formal family photo and then sets up the camera on a tripod so they can jump into the picture? We're really supposed to believe that the rich old man wouldn't have coughed up for a photographer?

Oh, but it sets it up well for him to die in Lynette's house.

Why do I keep watching this show when it only leads to storylines that agitate me?

Interesting this was bumped up as I have a question......

Can someone refresh my memory of how Mike is Zack's dad? I dont recall that at all, but it seems he's his father??!?!?

Zack's real mother, who was a druggie, basically left Zack (then called Dana) with Mary Alice and Paul. When she came back to get Zack, they killed her. The mother of Zack was Mike's girlfriend at the time.

Surely there is a more recent thread?:confused3 I missed the first 30 minutes of last night's finale and would love to hear some details.

Too weird! I JUST finished watching the finale and all of the sudden this thread popped up to the top.

This thread is it. It died for awhile and was briefly brought back up in February.

Sorry I can't help you with the first 30 minutes. It was 2 hours so I can't remember what was in the first 30 minutes.

I bet you can watch it now at ABC.com. Or at least read a recap.

I thought it was a kind of lame cliffhanger finale. Oh well.

and with All My Children cancelled, does the rumor of Susan Lucci joining the cast of Desperate Housewives mean she'll be moving onto Wisteria Lane next season??!!

ah, geez....

look!

there goes a shark, jumping!!!!!

:yay:

I'm pretty sure I read that that Lucci rumor isn't going to come to fruition.

Overall I found the season finale really disappointing. I know this show has been on the skids, to me, this year but it is so campy I was expecting the big WOW as usual. Instead it was a little, ehhh.

A little? What a boring 2 hours after a very boring season.

I didn't like this season. I've thought the Felicia / Paul thing has been overdrawn for years, and I'm glad that's finally over, and I did like how they resolved that, but honestly, with the way the series has been going the past couple of years, they could've made that the series finale, and I wouldn't be sad to see it off the air. I didn't think the cliff hanger was that big of a deal either, and I hate that they broke Lynette and Tom up. Though divorced couples always seem to get back together on this show, but I really hate the way they made both those characters act towards the end of the season.
