dh:age 28 me: age 25 dd:21/2 Resort:CSR 11/12-11/20 transportation:driving from N.Y. Day one: Up and ready to leave at 7:30 am....Oh no!!, Hunny where are my glasses??!!! O.k. so we didn't get off to a great start, needless to say we spent one and a half hrs. tearing my house apart looking for my glasses that we still have not found! I only need them for driving at night and sometimes for distance reading. Anyway we got a late start but that was o.k we're going to WDW!! We drove stopping only for bathroom and drinks and some food, we bought alot of snacks and breakfast items with us. We drove to Manning S.C. and stayed at Holidayinn express off of I95 ex.119. It took us 12 hrs. to get there. Our dd slept, colored, listed to books on tape, she was so good, and whenever we stopped we gave her extra time to run around. The HI was clean and actually pretty nice and included continental breakfast and was only $57 and had alot of fast food places within a 5min. drive(VERY IMPORTANT TO US!!lol) We had a good night sleep and was on the road by 8am with our free breakfast in hand. We were just a 7hr. drive from WDW. Here are some tips: If you are driving a long distance, do yourself a favor and stop to stay over night somewhere. We have driven straight through 2 times and recommend stopping over to get some sleep. We felt refreshed and ready to go again! Make sure if you do this you pack a seperate bag just for that nights stuff including change of clothes for all and p.j.'s and toiletries. Stay tooned for day 2: arrival and first impressions of CSR
