I LOVE our Dell laptop with wireless this, that and the other! Currently (okay...all the time) I am sitting in my recliner with my adult beverage of choice, my puppy by my side, TV remote within reach and my feet up DISing with our beloved laptop. We also take it on our trips so DH can access office email. When this latop poops out, we will get another.

the desktop has a 24" LCD, the laptop is only 13".

Laptop, but it keeps breaking.

The first time, I wrapped a towel around some frozen peas to keep it from getting too hot, but it kept dying, then went POP and konked out.

The second time, I recognized the warning signs and took it in.

It's starting to get hot again. Getting ready to toss it out the window.

Laptops aren't all they're cracked up to be. IMHO, anyway.

Maybe I explained it poorly. I wanted to put the frozen peas under the laptop to keep it cool. But I didn't want them thawing and getting it wet, so I wrapped a towel around them. Like you do with a black eye.

DH said only I would do that, "The Frozen Pea Approach To Mechanical Repair," he called it. When I was explaining this to a couple we're friendly with, he started saying to the guy, "Wait'll you hear this." So, I finished and the guy said No, his wife would do that, too. She agreed that she might. So, there you have it...I'm not the only one.

She thought it was a good temporary fix, and is also a reasonable person. So, blah.

Laptops are one of the coolest inventions ever! That being said I use my laptop all the time it's great and portable.

I have a laptop at home and desktop at work but I much prefer the laptop and work much better off one.

Laptop more, that is for sure. I only use the desktop when absolutely necessary.
