I love your engagement story, its so perfect and adorable! Definitely unique and one of a kind, your dad was right. He made a lot of guys who've heard the story just a little bit harder!

LOVE your final choice of dress!! Its VERY flattering on you and is the perfect mix of modern and traditional princess, which is the vibe I got from looking at all the dresses and stuff you were choosing between. Seriously, I love your dress!!

I had your shoes!!! They ARE a lot taller than you think, lol. I thought for so long they were fine, but I was ready to take them off ASAP after our ceremony...I suggest maybe getting some blinged out (and maybe platform) flip flops for dancing and what not...mine saved my feet. But the blue you've had them dyed to is just gorgeous!

I had Lisa Smith too! SHE WAS AMAZING!! She went above and beyond and seriously MADE our wedding, like 50 times over. You are in awesome hands (not that you dont know it by now) and your day is going to go so smooth, and she will definitely make you and Derrick feel like royalty. My DH still talks about how amazing she was! --we didnt have a PS visit, and he never dealt with her until rehearsal/wedding..so he was really blown away. Tell her I said HELLO!! Oh, Im so excited for you...really she's amazing. LOL..Sorry, I need to control myself now...

Hehe, yes, my mom actually ended up getting that from someone after they changed all the comforters in the Grand Floridian. It used to be in one of the rooms there.

Haha, yeah, some guys told my fiancé that they made him look bad.
And thank you so much for the compliments on my dress! I am so happy about it, and so in love with my dress! I just want to keep putting it on, hehe.
I saw your shoes on your PJ and thought they looked familiar! Haha. Yeah, I have put them on and worn them some, and they are definitely tall! I'm looking into getting some flats for the reception to wear.
I'm so glad to hear about another bride that had Lisa! I love her so far, she has been sooo helpful! Her assistant Sarah is great as well. I can't wait to see what they are able to do, I'm going to need a lot of help, hehe.

So, it has been forever since I have updated this! A lot has happened since then!
For one thing, we are now five months out!

Also, a little over a month ago we had our planning session. First of all let me just say that everyone was phenomenal! We have been so happy working with our planner Lisa, and her and our florist Elizabeth have both been fantastic! All the staff at the Grand Floridian were phenomenal as well.
First a couple pictures.

And Derrick and I waiting to head over to Franck's for our planning session.

The planning session was of course very helpful, and both Lisa and Elizabeth were great at helping us figure out our vision and how to make it come to life! I'll go over a few of the details we picked.

We did pick our cake flavors, we're going to have the top and bottom layer as chocolate and peanut butter cup. The middle will be chocolate and raspberry cream. Then, we are going to have a sheet cake with I think vanilla and buttercream. I'm pretty excited about the design we picked, but I'll hold off on telling it so it can be a surprise.

Then we went over a few other details as well with Lisa. One is we decided we're using the Landau coach as our transportation. I'm pretty excited! I'm a horse person, so we needed a horse somewhere in our wedding, hehe.

Anyway, on to the more exciting portion, the floral!
Our bridesmaid bouquets are going to look similar to this:

Mine will look like this, only it'll have both orange and pink gerber daisies:

For the guys we're going to have gerber daisy boutonnieres. I would have to look again to see who is getting what color.

For the tables we are having white table linens with teal napkins. We will also be getting mahogany chivari chairs with white seat cushions.

That is all of the details I can remember right now off the top of my head! I will have to go back over everything to remember everything else.

Now, also while we were there for our planning session, Derrick and I did engagement photos with the photographer doing our wedding! Here are a couple of my favorites.
