Designer bag addicted ladies, I have a question...

Do you always get matching wallets with your bag? I have a couple different Coach bags that have matching wallets because the purses are all different colors. Same with my D & B ones. I could probably get more purses if I just bought the bag and not the wallet, considering half of the time the wallet is just as expensive as the purse. What do you do? Do you mix and match (not really in between designers, but in between styles/colors)?

I have a much more difficult time finding wallets I like so I stick to one and move it between purses. It's a Coach that is just the right size (I like a small wallet). Do you really switch all your "stuff" (license, cards, and what not) to a new wallet when you switch purses?

I have considered getting a wallet to match my Marc Jacobs because it needs a friend

I have quite a few Coach and D&B bags. I have found it easier to buy one wallet for each brand and switch back and forth between the bags. I always go in the store and comtemplate buying the matching wallet for the purse, but leave with another purse instead, lol. My thoughts are that I will get more enjoyment out of another bag, and not many people will see the wallet inside, unless they are watching as I make a purchase or as I am opening my bag.

I don't always get the matching wallet. Not all purses have matching wallets. I get the purses I like, regardless of who makes them...some don't have wallets in the store (especially the cheapo ones).

And since I switch purses so much, sometimes I'll throw a wallet in that actually clashes, to save the time of switching all the stuff from wallet to wallet.

I used to, but now I don't always bother. I work for one of the designer handbag companies mentioned here , so I get quite a break on the prices. I've bought quite a few bags now. The wallets come in just a few basic styles (for our company), so to me it just seems silly to keep buying it in different fabrics.

I'm going to be good now, cause I've seen some of the new fall stuff and its *cute*cute*cute*!!

Never buy the wallets. I can not pay those prices. I have a few plain leather wallets and a couple wristlets that I use as a wallet.

I just use one wallet between all bags. I don't like switching stuff around...too darn lazy!

Kimberle-Even if I got a discount I would probably always be broke buying purses from the company. I would just be working for purses (which doesn't sound too bad!)

This is me, too. My wallet has made the last four or five moves. It's perfect for me.

No. I am a huge purse addict (just ask my DH ) but I definitely stick to the same wallet for about a year or so, sometimes less, sometimes longer. Right now I've got a really cute pink Brighton one that I absolutely love!

I hate getting a new wallet so I just have a basic (black) one that gets tossed into whatever bag I'm wearing that day.
