Design help needed ...please

Hi all !

I am still fairly new to this forum ... meeting people and learning along.

There are so many talented designers out there and WOW your designs are incredible. You guys got my creative side lurking out at me.

I decided to purchase Microsoft digital suite 6, it's very easy to use and very user friendly but .....

I would really like to make our names with character letters and don't seem to be getting it.

Can someone please tell me how to do this !!!! I've been playing with it since yesterday and at this point I am about to pull my hair out!!!!

I though Microsoft discontinued their digital suite series. Did you buy a used copy?

I got it off a friend ....

Wish I could help you but I've never even heard of this program.

The basic process that I use is to make a mask that has the letters "cut out" (transparent) so the artwork shows through. Once I get it all where I want it I can either save it that way or merge it all together and add some other effects.

But don't know how to make a mask either !

That's what I've trying to do ! I figured if the letters were transparent I could then do whatever I wanted. But haven't figured that one yet either.

I am curious though, what program do you use ?

I have photoshop ...just never bothered to install it ...seems so complicated to use !

I believe Natalie uses that program. If you have PhotoShop Elements, I have a step by step guide that someone sent me that I will send to you via email as I don't know how to post it in an PM.

I use Photoshop Elements 6.0. If you are still having trouble I can help you with that program.

Hi !

At ther beginning of Creative Designs there are sticky notes from the administrators.

Go in the one that says something about New to the forum or something like that.

You will find a step by step link in there, for photoshop !
