Desert Party Invitations??

Has anyone done a desert party invitation? We are having a welcome/rehersal party a few days prior to the wedding, instead of doing a rehersal dinner we decided we wanted to do a desert party that everyone could attend.

I was just wondering if anyone has done invitations for this, if so how did you word it. We want to send them out to make sure everyone plans on attending and so they know about it.

My MIL sent out invitations for the dessert party (since DH's parents were hosting). I don't have a pic of that one but I do have a pic of the rehearsal invitation I used. We had our dessert party the night before the wedding, immediately after the rehearsal, so we included a line on that paper for it....

To cut costs, we sent out an evite to our guests for our dessert party/ welcome dinner. It turned out great- it was free and we were able to get in touch with anyone personally who didn't rsvp. We then included detailed information in their welcome bags of time, location, meeting place, etc.

We sent ours out with the wedding invitation as an inclusion. It was just a small card that said "And Now for the Grand Finale! Please join us for a Dessert Party and Wishes Fireworks--Sago Cay Pointe..."

What time did everyone say the desert party started? Can you arrive earlier than 8:30pm??

You can schedule your dessert party to start earlier than 8:30 and/or last later than 9:30, but if you want food service for longer than an hour, you will be charged a pro rated amount per guest based on the per-person cost of your dessert party.
