Hi

Anybody had a desert party after an intamate wedding. where is the best place to have it and what are the costs?

Sam

I think that some brides have done this.

Cost varies depending on the desserts you choose, plus guests either have to have a ticket to EPCOT, or you pay a viewing fee per guest (I seem to remember it being $12.50 per guest, but I may be wrong.

Anyway, I think it's a great idea, except...time frame. You would likely have quite a few hours in between your wedding and the dessert party, what would your guests do? Since it would be an intimate, you won't have many people to worry about, but it's something to consider. If you had a late afternoon ceremony, you could do a wedding dinner and then head off to the dessert party...I think that would work. The last time I checked, the latest you could have an intimate was like 5:30pm.

Don't forget, as well, there are fireworks cruises available. Private dining can even have things like chocolate covered strawberries and champagne served on board. I think the pontoon boats will comfortably seat at least twelve...but I may be wrong.

Happy planning!

Thanks Aurora63

I really want to have a desert party, i've got a rough estimate of how much it would cost. I just want to hear from people that have done it with so little guests.

thanks

I only had 6 guests at our Dessert Party, I would highly recommend the DP as people that were at our wedding are still talking about it. We were originally slated have ours at the Japan Pavilion since we had such a few amount of people, a couple weeks before the wedding they moved us to the UK lower terrace but didn't change the cost of it...........it was fabulous. If you can afford it I would do it :)

We walked over to Epcot from the Yachtsmen Steakhouse where we had our dinner, when we got to the International Gateway our escort was there waiting with a flashlight to guide our way to our DP, I felt like a princess with my wedding dress on we had people clapping for us and congratulating us all the way there. The Dessert was wonderful and they even made my dad a diabetic fruit plate, since he couldn't eat the other food.

The DP just made our wedding day even more magical, we both agreed that it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Some advice...........wear some comfy shoes as it is quite a hike to get there!!

Let me know if you have any questions :)

Hi Tigger

What was the mimimum amount of guests you had to pay for? how much did it cost? and did you have seating?

thanks

Sam

Who do you contact to book the dessert party we would like it in the England Terrace as we are from the UK.
How many days in advance can you book we only have six people but willing to pay however much. Can I claify is it $12.50 per head for the amount of people or is it a set amount regardless of how many people.
We are getting married and was also wondering can you eat your main meal there and then have the dessert party whilst wearing your wedding dress and suits for the men.

Thank you

hi Sflmouse

The $12.50 is for the veiwing fee. if you have park tickets you can use them instead, its just most people have park hoppers, so you would be wasting a day on your ticket, so disney do it at $12.50 each just for the desert party. the minimum number of guests is 20 i think, but if you have less i think you are able to pay a small party fee. you have to pay the hostess fee of $90 and if you want tables and chairs its $75. then the desert menu starts from around $18 each.
hope this helps a little. take a look at this www.yourfairytale.com/caterill2.html
