If price is the same, would you stay at Desert Inn and Suites or Del Sol Inn? They're right next to each other and I think they're even owned by the same company (or one owns the other), right? They look pretty similar from what I can tell online. We've stayed at the Del Sol twice before, and it was good enough for the price and the amount of time we typically spend in the room. But we wouldn't mind trying someplace different. Which of those two would you recommend? Why?

Thanks!!

I've only stayed at DI&S but their wifi is really good so I would pick that one.

I've only stayed at DI&S and we were very happy with it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. I know one set of friends who have stayed at Del Sol and they too were happy with their stay. Does the pool make a difference too you. DI&S is indoor which is a bummer in the summer. Del Sol is outside. And yes they have the same owners. If pool doesn't matter, I'd try DI&S.

We have only stayed at the Desert inn but me sister stayed at Del Sol last trip. She thought it was pretty much the same a little more worn down. The differences for Del Sol is the outdoor pool and the bunk bed rooms. Also if I recall correctly Desert inn includes parking and fees in their total and Del Sol does not so the price might not be the same but very similar.

They are similar in quality. We stay at either one (just go with whichever is cheaper). All things being equal, we would choose Del Sol, simply because my girls prefer the bunk beds to a sofabed. Desert Inn has elevators and a bigger breakfast area, but parking is less of an issue at Del Sol.

These are the two hotels we like to stay at. This time around we opted for Desert Inn, because I think the room we are getting is a little more spacious than the bunk bed one at Del Sol (although we haven't stayed in a bunk bed room yet). Also, from the pictures, it looks like the kids would not be able to see the tv very well from the bunk beds. I think from the sofa bed or other queen bed at Desert Inn, they'll have a better view. -Not like we're going to watch tons of tv, lol, but its nice to lay down, unwind, and watch a show at the end of the day.

Last trip off-site, we stayed at Del Sol. It used to be nice but not any more. They park your car. We have a brand new car. We paid them to park the car against a wall so it would not get any door dings. Well, we came back late in the evening and the car was moved. We had them put it in the handicapped stall (we have a tag). There is a big scratch on the bumper. The parking as a third party. Nothing but a bunch of run around. We finally just let it go because the valet company would not even call us back.
So no more Del Sol.

Stayed at DI&S this year, del Sol last year. Notable differences for us included better water pressure in the shower at del Sol, couch and coffee table at DI&S. Distance was comparable, quality was comparable, staff was comparable. If the price was exactly the same, I'd probably take better water pressure over a couch and coffee table.
