Morning All,
Since today marks exactly 7 months till our wedding in Disney... I thought it would be appropriate to start my planning journal.
I never in a million years, thought I would be a "blogger:" type of gal, but since I have found so much information on this site, and it was helpful to boot, I thought I would share my story.
Mike and I are both from NJ ( don't lsiten to the rumors, its really not that bad.. I promise). We both lived right by the beach. Its was great, except for the Jersey traffic. However, in late 2009 we had to relocate to MD for work.
Although I miss home and the beach terribly, I am slowly starting to adjust. We have 4 ducks, and we built them a house and a pond! And I can not forget our sunshine, our dog, Ms. Emmy!
We have almost three acres, and are currently busy planting our "little garden". We have been exploring our new home state, and have been making wonderful memories, with just the two of us. It was not always easy, but it is definitely getting better.
In November 2009, while putting up a Christmas tree in our bedroom (yes, I am one those people with multiple trees lol) Mike made me crawl under the tree to make sure all the lights were plugged in.... ummm the lights were already plugged in and working lol.. but I was like ok, and managed to squeeze myself under, as I wiggled my way back up, mumbling about all the lint that was now on my sweater. he was waiting there on one knee.
However, since we had just moved into a new home and a new state, we put off the wedding plans off until , ummm...... January of 2011- much to everyone's dismay! We tried doing the traditional thing, the big ballroom, boiled chicken, the same old, same old. After much looking for something "different", and not having any luck, I came home one day and said DONE... its our wedding and we are going to do something that makes us happy. I was afraid that in 10 or 20 years we would look back at our wedding and be regretful that we didn't do it our way.
We are waiting for our LOA, however we have been penciled in for Epcot France for our ceremony and the Living Seas for the reception. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can have scuba Mickey!
I will upload some pictures as soon as I can figure out how to do that!
