so i just was in WDW in Feb. but it seems like lately lots of little things remind me of being there; i saw a plane and thought about flying out there, our schools food smelled like some food in Disney the other day, and even some commercial jingles have a similar sound to things in WDW... and it's making me sad. i know that we're gonna plan a trip for march ish 2011, but idk i'm just sad about it lately lol...

anyone else have things that remind them of WDW or DL?

was that you first trip? cuz after my first trip I was like that

I know what you mean...

But I always cheer myself up by armchair imagineering or reading The Art of Disneyland and/or WDW.

But things that remind me of Disney... I have all of my family's room cards, my ticket, our photopass, some pins, and my "dining with an imagineer" name tag on my bulletion board and they always make me a little sad, but also happy. Sad, because I know we'll probably never go as a family to WDW again, happy to think of the memories.

I don't get too upset,, usually, and I did manage to go to DL for a day three weeks ago.

But, yeah... my family isn't much of a Disney family. They like it, and really have fun whilst there, but they couldn't comprehend shelling out for a vaca yearly.

So, as the Disney nerd who can't make any plans to go, ugh. It sucks.

When I don't have a trip planned, listening to Disney music/surfing the trip planning forums/watching Disney movies actually makes me MORE sad. :(

you should see our basement. my mom decided to finish it off and make it a DISNEY ROOM. yes thats what we call it "let's go to the disney room" etc. the top half is yellow the bottom half is red (mickey's outfit) and in the middle there is a mickey mouse border. we have a bazillion disney pics and such all over on the walls and the shelves are full of disney stuff. it used to be cool to go down and remember with all of the stuff, now i don't even notice it haha :rotfl:

because I live in england, its mch harder for my and my family to get to Disney because we have to pay big money for the flights, and going usually takes around 8-9 hours. then the jet lag. the jet lag SUCKS. we went for the first time in '07 and we LOVED it. we went again just recently and got back on friday. seeing all of the back to school adverts - its it normal for me to want to move to america? lol. i am in the middle of begging my dad to take us back for christmas bt at the minute he is saying noo way because it would be WAAY to expensive, but i love it so much and i am definately going to do the international college program when i am old enough :D
