booked RPR & payed around $300 deposit, we then got a better rate that we changed to, deposit wasnt mentioned when i rang but checked booking on line & it says deposit $100 & something (cant remeber exact amount) which was the deposit you needed to pay if you booked the offer but as we had already booked & changed it shouldnt our previous deposit be showing? - checked cc & the £300ish amount hasnt be refunded,
hope this makes sense, just wondering if i need to call them, as i'm worried they will say we payed $100ish when we've paid £300ish!! :confused3

i'm sure you have proof of the amount of the deposit you paid.

take that verification with you when you check into the hotel.

your hotel bill will show what has been paid prior.

when you check out, you will pay the remainder of the total charges.

last year i booked and paid the deposit.
sometime later, rates dropped, i called to modify my rate to reflect the new cost.

the deposit i had made prior, was listed on my hotel bill when i checked in.

you can contact them by email instead of calling them.
have them send you an updated confirmation of your reservation that reflects the amount you previously paid.

tell them to include the total amount you have already paid on the room.

Thx :flower3:
i have the cc bill showing the money has been taken & will take it with me, but then thought 'do i need the next 12 mths bills to show its not been credited back!!?' i will try emailing them just for piece of mind ;)

Yes definitely call and see what they have on your account. This happened to me as well (although I made the new ressie on a different card to avoid confusion because I also switched hotels) and when I called eventually because the first deposit had not been refunded, was told it had been credited back - but it hadn't. I ended up having to call my cc with my cancellation number to get the charge taken off and investigated. I would make sure now.

I changed my rate,[actually do it a few times from when i book usually] and the extra is usually credited to your room, i usually make extra payments when the exchange rate is quite good, to help with spends while i am there

Forgot to say, you can email them ,and they will send you information on your booking , and what has been paid.

does anyone have the email address handy??
