Hey guys - I need a quick answer!! :D I've got to call in the morning for our reservations for the Princess Breakfast in Epcot for our October trip. Right now, we have 6 adults and 2 children going - but there is a high probability that 2 of the adults may have to back out. I know I have to pay a deposit in the morning when I call, so what I'm wondering is how that works. If I have to cancel 2 of the adults, will they credit that back, or will it just go towards our final bill at the end?

We've made reservations in the past at other restaurants which didn't require a deposit and members backed out at the last minute, and there was no problem when we showed up with less people. I will know about this particular situation sooner than the last minute, but only probably about two weeks sooner. So, I can call and cancel them then, but I'm just so afraid of messing up this reservation. It's for my DD's birthday, so I want to make certain I don't do something wrong.

Thanks!!

The only character breakfast I've had a deposit for is CRT. We did the Epcot Princess breakfast not long after they started it and did not put down a deposit. Here's hoping they still do not require a deposit from you. For CRT, we could have cancelled the day before and our deposit would be returned.

ok heres the deal. I just did it a week ago. For Storybook they take your CC but don't charge it. They want the CC to charge if you don't show up or call so just call to cancel the people. I don't have a CC so i didn't have to put anything down. but also in all fairness I had to use a CC last year as well and had one then and woke upi late and was never charged.

So, cancelling the two people won't mess up the reservation? I read a horror story awhile back (probably caused by a CM who didn't know what they were doing), but they needed to cancel a person, so in changing the reservation, the CM cancelled the existing one, then couldn't make a new one with the correct amount of people because it was all booked up. That's my main fear.

After you make the resevation ask the CM what you should do. As long as you show up it probably don't matter I wouldn't worry about canceling the extra people. Make up a lie they got sick that morning and couldn't make it. this way it won't be canceled on "accident"

I just made a ps for this and had almost the same question. The girls are going to the princess breakfast and the boys are doing their own thing, but I have a 6yo who loves his little sister to death and hates to be separated. I was worried that we would get ready to go that morning and he would be devastated that he was not included.

I made my ps and the cm noted on it that there was a possibility that the 6yo would be a no show. They made it for four, but in all likelyhood there will only be three.

Just talk to the cm when you make your ps and I'm sure it will be fine.
