Anyone fly out of Denver to Orlando what are your fares like? I'm trying to find my sister a good price on airfare for a trip in Septembr, but i'm not sure what is considered a decent price. Also who do you ususally fly?

Thanks :sunny:

I consider myself an unofficial Denver airfare guru...only because I search and look so often for the best fare.

I can tell you the best fare I've seen in the last year and tell you what we paid. We personally like Ted (United). The flight is non-stop which is an absolute must for me. The seats are a little bigger, great movies and generally on time and relaxing. That said, here's what I have.

The lowest price I've found (traveling in May..somewhat comparable price to Sept. though Sept. will probably be lower)
Frontier Airlines $898.00 for 2 adults 2 children (non-stop) during sale in Dec.
United (Ted) $1100.00 2 adults 2 children (non-stop) regular fare in Nov.

I paid $1400.00 (I know I waited too long..but got scared and booked) for Ted.
HOWEVER, since then, the price has fluctuated and I've received credit vouchers totalling $295.00 (they will refund you the lower price if you find it)
so really my airfare cost $1100.00 ish.

I would check orbitz for fares, then go directly to airlines website if you find one you want. Good luck!

thelionqueen,

Thanks :thumbsup2 I'm so mad at myself for not calling my sister last night...I found airfare on delta from DEN to MCO for $102.20 (non stop way down stop in ATL on the way home), but this am by the time she got my e-mail it was gone :( LOL I even printed it out cos I thought it was such a deal.

My sister has flown TED before, but I know she also likes Frontier. Frontier is about $335 right now for non stop flights and I can't remember what TED is at. I'm nervous that if we wait too long the flight will be overly expensive so I'm thinking she will have to book soon.

We prefer COS to MCO, but for DEN - MCO, I usually hope for RT fare of around $200 per person. BTW, airfare typically goes up on Thursdays, and Tuesdays/Wednesday are better days to buy airfare (with a 14+ day advance purchase). This isn't a rule, just what is typical.

Oh, and our last 3 DEN-MCO flights have been on Ted.

thanks javaj :thumbsup2 I knew about the Tuesday into Wednesday thing. Wow $200 would be splendid. Airfare is around 336 or so now so I'm sure we will be booking soon as we would be traveling on a holiday weekend.
