Deluxers doing Values - do you spend any time at the value resort?

thinking we may fill up our time with Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Quest, visiting other resorts
So when you are used to the deluxes/home away from homes and book a value for the beginning of your vacation do you plan time at the value? or wait for relaxing till you get to your deluxe/home away from home?

We enjoy both. My kids like swimming in all of the WDW pools.

We had always done Deluxe resort until last year I went with just my DD(7) and myself. We left DD(11), DS(4) and DH home!!! My DD(7) really wanted to stay at the Movies and we loved it!!! We went during slow season and had great bus service, no waits at parks and loved the night time swimming.

This year the whole family is going and DD(7) is insisting that we spend a few days at the POP. So we are getting 2 rooms at the POP for 3 nights and then moving to the POLY for another 3 nights!!!
