Deluxe VS pre pay card?

We have the deluxe scheduled, so we dont have to worry about it. We are not doing a 2TS dinner, becuase we have a 1 Yr old and 4 Yr old. We are only staying 2 nights too. What i have scheduled, now i think we could pay for some OOP, but i was wondering if there is somekind of prepay on your account you can have?

If you have the deluxe dining plan, why do you need to pay OOP for meals for 2 nights if you are not doing any 2TS meals?

You'd have 6 meal credits for each person that can be used for either TS or CS. If you are not doing signature restaurants, that's 6 meals for 2 days.

Or are you asking if there is a way, other than the dining plans, to get your meals prepaid? I suppose you could buy gift cards, which can be used in WDW restaurants.

I am also bringing down a few pre-paid credit cards I received as gifts. You could purchase them instead of a gift card in case you go under your budget. That way you would have the freedom to use the extra money on the card at any location that accepts credit cards. (Versus being tied into spending that money at Disney only)

Just research your card carefully - some may have penalties or fees attached.

I know that they have some version of the Disney Dining Plan on pre-paid cards as that is what we were given in Oct when they gave a food kick back to AP holders who booked at certain times. It was a standard room charge type card, but it had Chef Mickey at a buffet line on the front, and was valid anyplace that took the DDP (or so I was told). No idea if you can by these yourself or if they are only available for Disney to use as a promotional tool, but they do exist.
