This will be our family's 2nd annual November trip (daughters 6&9 ). We stayed at the Poly and loved the monorail
but sooooo expensive. Where should I take them this time. I want the magic , HELP DIS'ERS!

What about AKL? It's still a deluxe but not so exspensive if you get a std. room. It is a gorgeous resort! My family loved it! I would also recommend CSR for the fabulous pool for the kids and moderate price tag.

AKL and WL are Deluxe hotels that are great, without being as expensive as the Poly.

Hi

As the other posters said the Wl and AKL are gorgeous and cheaper, but if you are interested in saving even more, you might want to consider a moderate....I have stayed at both mods and deluxes, and in my opinion, I really dont miss anything from the deluxes and kind of like the theming at the mods a lot. CBR was beautiful, and I loved POR. From what I hear Coronado Springs and POFQ are great too! You might want to give them a shot! We are staying at the Poly and Contemporary next trip but only because we have never stayed on the monorail before and want to experience it.

We're trying a moderate (POR) for the first time also. Previously stayed at GF. I was really nervous at first but the more I read about POR the more excited I get. We have a two week trip planned for next year too so I'm hoping we'll like POR so much that we'll split our trip next year and save tons of money! BTW our AP rate for GF was $254 plus tax our AP rate for POR was $99 plus tax. That's a big savings over several nights - more money to have fun with.

I love CSR, but from what I recall between it and POR, CSR is a little more spread out (which I happen to love, particularly walking around the lovely lake while the sun is rising). I also liked the POR food court well enough, but I really like the Pepper Market at CSR--lots of variety and I will happily pay the 10% gratuity to have someone else clear my plate when I'm done! The pool is also really great at CSR.

Some people also complain about the "magic" not being as evident at CSR because of convention business, but I've never found that to be the case myself. The themeing (sp) is really good, too. Keep in mind that it is more 'desert-like' at CSR than at POR, which is greener, but it's supposed to be this way;, Disney did not just let the plants at CSR die! POR is greener, with more trees and things as one might expect.

The amount you'll save with your AP will be fairly considerable. I'm going 'deluxe' this trip, but in January will be back to good old CSR! I don't think you could really go wrong with either CSR or POR, but CSR gets my vote for best moderate.

We honeymooned at the GF in April.

Dh wants to stay at the poly next April, but I'm going to convince him to stay at a moderate.

After much consideration, looking at all the photos and websites.....I've decided on CSR.

I think we'll enjoy walking the rounds, the diversity of the different sections of the resort...the pool and slide....etc.

It sounds like the bus service is great too.

I think you will have a wonderful time whichever moderate you choose.

Just look at as many photos as you can and try to imagine your family there.

Pick the one that feels most right to you.

Once I saw the photos of CSR, I knew it was right for us.

LOL, now I just have to convince DH.

We stayed at POR last December after numerous stays at deluxes and home away from home resorts. I can truly say that we were not disappointed! The only thing we really missed was being able to walk to/from Epcot and MGM, as we really love the Epcot resort area!:D
