I think I'm looking for the most romantic resort. I'm leaning towards the Polynesian. We've already stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge; so, I would like to try another place.

:D The polynesian is an excellent choice. It has the feeling of intimacy, and it is very lush and has a genuine tropical feel. It is spread out over a large area with a lot of extremly well lanscaped walkways. And as secluded as it feels, you have the benefit of being on the monorail loop which really comes in handy to get to the MK and Epcot, and you have the TTC right next door for bus and ferry transportation. We have stayed there a number of times and were very pleased with it. :smooth: :p

I would also agree with the Polynesian. However, if I were planning marathon days at the parks, I would pick the Contemporary (less money, but still have the convenience of a monorail resort).

We are actually doing a one-night at the Poly in a couple weeks and are looking forward to "hanging out" there and spending minimal time in the parks. It is definitely our favorite resort for that so far.

:smooth: I don't think the contemporary would fit into the "most romantic" catagory that Bete is looking for. :D

...would be for the Poly, also. It is very lush, tropical, and VERY romantic. Plus, it's convenient, being a monorail resort, to MK!

We really liked the Wilderness Lodge - it has a great rustic "get-away-from-it-all" feeling. I liked the pool and spa area too - we thought the spa area was really nice at night.

Haven't stayed at the Poly so I can't compare to that- but we hope to stay there someday too. :D

Good Luck with your choice.

oops...you're right of course. I was responding to the thread title question and didn't notice the word "romantic" within the post.

The Poly............ask for the Tahiti Longhouse on the ground floor, there are hammocks and torches right outside your sliding glass door. the sunrise in the morning is beautiful and there is great unobstructed views of the castle and space mountain. The "sounds " at night are the best, the howling of the HM and the toot of the train. Its fun to watch the MK "wake up" in the morning too! Very romantic for evening strolls along the lagoon at sunset and for sitting in the beach chairs and star gazing. Room service isn't too bad either;)

The restaurants at the Poly are great too, espically the Kona coffee press pots. Also being on the monorail, you can take it to any of the wonderful restaurants in the GF or go to the CG at the CR. The Tahiti is also walking distance to the TCC, so if you wish to go to Epcot to dine, you don't have to ride the rail all around.

Can you tell how much I love the Poly??:Pinkbounc

:D

Definitely the Polynesian. I love the theme and the look of the resort, plus it's close to Magic Kingdom.

It's nice to sit on the beach and watch the fireworks. Yep, I'd go for the Polynesian for sure.

I'm going to throw another one out at you. I think the YC/BC resort is one to consider.

You have the absolute best pool on property. You have access to both Epcot and MGM via walking or boat.

There are over 30 restaurants within the general proximity, and of course you have the Boardwalk entertainment area. Just some of the choices include Atlantic Dance, JellyRolls (duelling piano bar w/ cover), and ESPN Club.

You can also rent water craft and scoot around on Crescent lake, take a romantic walk all the way around the Boardwalk, and catch many of the fireworks from Illuminations w/o even going into Epcot.
