Deluxe Plan and Bounceback 2008?

I apologize if this has been asked before. I posed the following questions to Disney via email:

"We currently have the bounceback offer booked for 9/19-9/28, 2008 with
the free dining plan. is there a way to add the deluxe dining plan at a
discounted rate? I have heard from other patrons that it is possible
(i.e; you pay the difference between the basic and deluxe plans)."

Disney gave me the following response:

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.
While we sincerely appreciate your interest, the Bounce Back program
included the Dining Plan option. The Deluxe Dining Plan was not offered
and cannot be exchanged.
We are sorry this is not the favorable response you were anticipating,
we appreciate your understanding."


I swore that other Disers were successful in booking the deluxe during bounceback?

When we booked we were absolutely offered the Deluxe if we wanted to pay the difference between them. I laughed with the CM because I said there was no way I could eat that much food and wasn't interested in too many of the 2 credit meals. She also offered the Wine Plan as an add on fee.

Their response sounds like they did not interpret the inquiry to mean you would pay the difference, only that you were trying to exchange. I would call them direct.

I recently upgraded my free DDP to the Deluxe Plan. We are going 9/20 - 9/27. To upgrade 4 adults and 1 child it cost roughly $900.

i will try and call them again. My DH booked the offer and inquired at that time, but he may have not worded it correctly (after all he is not a DIS lover like I am!)

Thanks for letting me know I didn't imagine that Disers were offered the deluxe!
