Deluxe Choices

Hoping to get some opinions from experienced Disney goers. We were lucky enough to get a 40% off discount so now i'm thinking about going deluxe.

There are 7 of us dh, myself, 4 boys- 16,14,13 and 9 and a liitle girl 8.
I looked into a 2 bedroom villa, but I'm concerned about the number of beds. We won't use the kithchen. BWV, WLV and OKW are the only available.

Otherwise we would need 2 rooms. Do all the deluxe have a daybed and is it big enough to sleep on? I thought the Contemporary would be great for the size, but they're booked.

also, are the beds the same in all the resorts.

Of course we could save a lot of money and stay at a mod!!

What a great problem to have!! Hands down, I would go for the 2 bedroom villa...they are very spacious. You will also have a jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, a washer/dryer and the kitchen may be more useful than you think---especially as boys like to eat and eat. Order a couple cases of water, snacks and breakfast items -- then you can eat a quick breakfast before you leave and head out every day prepared w/icy water!

BWV is a super location and has a lot of fun stuff on the boardwalk at night. VWL has fabulous theming and is a quick boat ride away from MK.

I checked out the prices and there is about a $200 diff between 2 rooms at the BC verses a 2 bedoom at the BWV. Poly is a little more than that. So these ar my 3 choices. What does everyone think???

Check into two standard rooms at either WL or AKL. The boys could have one room and you, DH and little girl could have the other. AKL and WL have the lowest priced deluxe rooms. We are staying at WL in July. I can't wait.

absolutely, positively the BWV 2-bdrm! (seriously no contest)
you'll have soooooo much more room (2 bedrooms and a living room), plus all the amenities (full kitchen, jacuzzi (in it's own room with a vanity, btw), & washer & dryer. btw, we've used an aerobed when there was a "i'm not sleeping with whoever" situation arose ~ there's more than enough room for one).
the BW itself has lots of nighttime activities (street performers, surrey bikes, hairbraiding, arcade games, etc). & you can see much of the Illuminations fireworks. you can have some ice cream, or delious baked goods from the bakery, & there are quite a few dining options (spoodles, big river frill, ESPN). BCV is across the water with more dining options, & and a beach.
EPCOT is a short walk (about 5-10 minute stroll) or ferry ride, DHS is a ferry ride or longer walk away. (we norm stay at the BWVs, & frequently go to EPCOT just for dinner & Illuminations ~ it's that close!)

I've got to also go with the 2 bedroom. We do not use the kitchen either, not to cook in anyway. But having it there to have juice, cereal, snacks, etc. is amazing. All of you will be together in one location to watch TV, get ready, etc. The washer/dryer is great to have also, especially with wet bathing suits.

We have stayed 6 adults easily in a 2 bedroom. The sofa beds are very comfortable (or I've been told) and they fold up in a snap and are out of the way for more space during the day.

We love the Yacht/Beach Clubs, they are close to Epcot and MGM (Hollywood Studios).

Well we're down to our final 2 decisions. No I have to call and make sure that they are both still available. My husband likes the idea of the 2 rooms at the BC. (He has something aginst staying in a villa.) I like the idea of a 2 bedroom at the BWV.

Is the Boardwalk as close to Epcot as the BC? When we stayed at the Swan it seemed as if the BC wvs much closer.

We are going in august so it will be hot!!!

We got the 40% off code after receiving a postcard about upgrading to park hoppers. The post card said to call for room only discounts. I did and the CM found me a discount. We were psyched!!!

So any more opinions on BC verses Boardwalk....

Boardwalk Villa question - are they fairly close to the main building?

A two bedroom villa will be perfect. I have four children and I love the two bedroom villa. It's really two standard hotel rooms with a living room and kitchen between plus a washer/dryer. I don't cook anything more than popcorn or hot chocolate in our kitchen but it is great to have a refrigerator and snacks.

The BW is just only a little farther from Epcot but it is also closer to the Studios (sorry, forgot the new name); and the BWI is the wing on the right, when standing in the lobby, and the BWV are the wing on the left.

Finally, having three tv's will be a lifesaver with your group.

With the two-bedroom villa, you will absolutely positively all be in a single unit. If you reserve two 'regular' resort rooms, Disney will do its danged best to give you connecting rooms (if you request them) if at ALL possible - but with two adults, it's possible you'll be given two non-connecting rooms and have to split up.
