Deluxe AP benefits/discounts?

I know the info must be here on the DIS somewhere, but I can't seem to find it! - and I keep getting that darn "server busy" message :badpc:
So can anyone tell me where to find out exactly what restaurants and stores give AP (deluxe, not premium) discounts - seems a no-brainer to upgrade City Pass tickets to AP instead of 5 day hoppers (which is what I need) - gets me SW, USH, and SD Zoo for only $50 - and we're going to them all.
I just want to make sure I know ALL of the discounts so I don't forget any of them - and if there are food discounts, it will probably make sense for me to upgrade on my first day instead of my last, since it's highly unlikely I'll make it back to CA within the year. Another question if anyone knows (sorry, I'm DL 'clueless' ) do the AP discounts apply to your whole party or just for the AP holder. Doesn't look like a savings to upgrade DNeph(8) to an AP - 5 day hopper is the cheaper option for him, unless I would need one to save on his meals, also. Ok, long enough ;) - TIA for any info/help :smooth:

Basically all the restaurants not the food carts and no discounts on the retail shops only the premiums get that. The discount on the food is for the whole purchase. You just show them your pass and they look to see if it's a premium or deluxe.

With the deluxe AP you get 10% off all restaurants, excluding any of the food carts. No discounts on merchandise. You have to have a premium pass for that (15% off food, 10% off merch.)

You also get 10% off all DTD restuarants, as well as discounts on the on-site hotels. What discount you get for the hotels depends on when you're going to be there.

You only need one AP to get the discount for food. Just make sure that you present it before you order. It'll be 10% taken off the entire bill. :)

As to upgrading the first day... I'd actually suggest you wait. AP holders aren't eligible for EE. So I'd do the first available EE with your 5 day hopper and then upgrade after that. It'll cost the same either way and then you get your EE. :)

Really, considering that you're only planning on being at DLR one time this year, I'm not sure if upgrading to an AP is right for you. Or perhaps I'd suggest just upgrading one so you can get the discount on food. But even still, I'd sit down and figure out how much you think you're going to spend on food, knock off 10% and see if it'd be worth the extra cost of the upgrade.

Hope that helps!

Thanks!! Here's my thinking (let me know if I have any of this 'logic' wrong ;) ). My best bet seems to be the So CA City Pass since we're also doing USH/SW/SDZoo. We'll be at DL/CA for 5 days - staying on DVC points, so room discounts don't apply - staying at DLH, so can use EE any day. When I upgrade, 5 day gate price is $ 219 (less the adv purchase price of 3 day hopper from CP- reportedly $149.) - AP price is $229 - with DVC $20 discount, AP should be only $209, less than the 5 day - and I'll get the 10% discount on our meals. I will probably only upgrade DNeph (8) to a 5 day - I could try desperately to convince myself to make another trip to CA earlier next summer, but he has his heart set on Space Camp for next year - and my own kids & grands are begging for another WDW Halloween trip, so return to CA is highly unlikely - but AP still looks like the best bet with the DVC discount - am I missing anything? TIA ! :smooth:
