Deluxe AP and black out days questions

If we want to go to the park on a day that is a black out day how do we do that ? I've read about a special black out day ticket you can purchase but where can I do that and how much does it cost ?
 
I believe you have to buy it at the ticket booths (which means a potential long wait in line) and the cost is $40 to upgrade a ticket for one day on a blackout day.
 
You can go to Guest Services too. The line there is usually shorter than at the ticket booths. We got ours there and had no wait at all. :)

Where is that? Despite the number of days we've spent at DLR since September, I'm still really clueless about where certain things are (I get my blinders on, LOL), and that's one that I don't know. :)

Guest Services is to the left of the Disneyland Entry gates. Off to the left side of the 'news stand' gift shop in the front of the park. This is where you pick up special event tickets (i.e. Segway Tour, Wine Events, Club 33 tickets) but they can also sell tickets, upgrade tickets, sell block out day tickets or even renew your AP. You do have to go through security before you can get to guest services.
