Does anyone know if there are still Delta Song airplanes flying to destinations even though it is just Delta now? We really loved flying on the Song planes!
Thank you

We liked them as well.
We used Song last trip in April 2005.

We're going JetBlue in January this time, as they seem to offer the same services.

I love'd Delta Song too! I was scheduled to fly on the Song when I first booked my trip for Oct 31st in February. In March they took them away :confused3 :furious: and when I asked why they said it was due to restructing and they were only using them for long trips! :confused3

The Song planes are being repainted and brought back into the Delta fold. Supposedly they will be upgrading several other 757 current Delta planes to match (leather seats, seatback entertainment).

But unfortunately they will only be using them for long haul flights. DW and I loved Song for the entertainment on our BOS-MCO flights. We are now on an MD88. If not for the fact we are flying first class (thank you SkyMiles) I would have switched to a bigger plane.

When we flew from New York to Orlando and back at the end of the summer, we still had Song planes both ways (with the leather seats and individual TVs). The planes were even still painted with the Song logo. I know that they are phasing those planes out to use only with the long haul flights, but just wanted to mention that fairly recently you could still luck into one.

Well this past weekend our Orlando-Atlanta DL flight was on a former Song aircraft that had not been repainted or changed yet. There were quite a few Song planes on the tarmac at ATL. And the good old seat back video was in operation with multiple cable channels, music channels, pay movies, etc. So if your schedule calls for a 757, you could get lucky!

In late August we lucked into a Song plane from JFK to MCO. On the way back, we got a Delta plane though. I prefer the Song planes, even though the Delta one was a dual aisle wider body plane. I LOVED Song. Even the themed public safety announcements were fun (but the Irish one was sort of lame, and I am Irish!)

Just last week my hubby flew MCO-JFK on a former Song plane - certainly not over the 1750 mile mark.

They are still transitioning the Song planes off of the traditional "Song routes" to redeploy on the long-haul routes. You may still get a Song plane occasionally going between JFK & MCO, but I wouldn't be expecting it much into the future.
