Delta seat assignment question

I have been booked for months on Delta using NWA FF miles. The flight from MSP to ATL has been changed. As many of you know, my seat assignemnts were wiped out. The plane was fairly empty, so I am not worried, but now it will not let me choose my seats again. I go through the process and then it tells me those seats are not available...

Could it be that I just caught the change right after it happened and I need to wait until tomorrow to make my seat selections again? I will try that and see what happens... at least until Delta changes the flight again and wipes the seats clean again! LOL.

FWIW, the flight from ATL to CRP on Delta (Atlantic Southeast Airlines) was also changed, but that flight retained our seat assignments.... weird.

I have also just requested to get my seats back thorugh the "contact us" link at the bottom of the main Song website. You have to fill out all your flight information, but then I requested to get my original seats back in the "comments" section. I have done this twice, and both times I have gotten my seats back with no problem.
 
I would call. If the plane is now almost open U could request any open seat. Did U want the seats U chose before? U could get better seats now.

Ok U may end up with seats someone else really wanted. But first come first serve.

My dad and I were actually in the exit row, so I want those seats again. I will have to call. The funny thing is that the flight number changed, but it is the same plane and the departure time is exactly the same. The only difference is that the arrival is 7 minutes later.....lol

On one of the occassions our flight times changed and our seats had reverted to "unassigned," I called in and discovered that the seats were still held for me. This could explain why the seats still said "reserved" when I looked at the seat selection map on the site before I called in. I don't know how long the seats stay held, if in fact the rep gave me correct information, but I like to call in as soon as I see changes.

PS...I recently tried to reclaim our seats by the Contact Us email method. I sent my request on 2/13 and didn't get a reply until 2/22! Even then, the reply was a canned "how to select your seats on-line" message. I will call rather than email, even though it takes more of my time.
