Delta free wifi

According to the article, Jetblue is the only other airline offering that.

Not a game changers, but a cool perk.

Honestly didn't try. I sat down and started watching movies I had downloaded. I tried on my second flight to get to Delta's streaming videos and couldn't get to that web page. But I think we were under 10k feet and it was a CRJ (smaller plane). I'll check on my return and I have another trip planned at the end of the month.

I don't think you'll ever have it on a CRJ. CRJs are almost all operated by a partner as Delta Connection, are not considered "mainline" and won't have the necessary equipment.

Good point. It did have the wifi light (next to the seatbelt light). If I can connect to delta.com, no reason I shouldn't be able to get to the rest of the internet.

I had it free on Thursday hours before the announcement. They said on the flight they were offering it as a free test. Today, I am being prompted $5.

I've got it on my flight between ATL>LGA.

120mb down. 0.6up. Not bad.

I had it on my flight on January 24. It worked fine. Just so you know - you can't access it until the plane has pushed back from the gate.

But you don't need to wait until 10k feet. My connecting flight had wifi, but it wasn't available until 10k, and it was not free. I did not do a lot of troubleshooting, and it was a CRJ.
