Delta flights out of Halifax

We are flying out of Halifax on March 6 through JFK to Orlando. Just looking for any tips from those who have experience with this. We've never gone through JFK at all, only Boston or Bangor or Toronto. Any and all help is appreciated!

I wish I could help! I've only flown out of Halifax to Montreal then to Orlando. I'm sure JFK isn't too bad. Let me know what you find, my next trip may just be through NY.

I've done this, but can't remember anything out of the ordinary. You should be fine.

Pre-clearing U.S. customs in Halifax rocks! Best in Canada. Just remember to get dropped off at U.S. departures at the other end of the Halifax airport from all other departures (or else you have to walk the length of the airport).

We drove to Boston and flew with Delta to MCO...no problems at all..but that's not what you're asking

I wonder if Ted who's a regular here could help you? I know he's flown Continental before out of Halifax, perhaps he's done Delta too! He's a guru of information on the Atlantic Canada thread maybe you can try there too?

Hi we did it in 09. Everything went fine, it was ok! Its a big airport but no troubles. The $$$ saved was worth it!

I've flown through JFK, but originated from PWM not YHZ. Clean Airport ... It is a good location, Had a bad rap last year when the runways were being repaired/upgrade, but that is all history now.
