Hi, : :Pinkbounc , i'm off to Toronto for the first time in August and have a kitchenette room booked at the delta chelsea.Has anyone ever stayed in one of these rooms and what is your opinion on the hotel?I really appreciate any opinions. Thanks :cool1:

I've never stayed at it, but, if you mean the one downtown, I do know you should bring your bathing suit, they're supposed to have really good facilities, including a pool slide, steam room, etc. Also, you're only one block north of the World's Biggest Bookstore, close to the Hard Rock Cafe, the Eaton Centre, and lots of other stuff. I hope you have a fabulous time visiting our fair city.

Thanks Mortica :cool1: i know my 3 kids 12, 6 and 8 will love the activities and i'm so excited to be going. We've done Florida 6 times on the trot and wanted a change and Toronto looks brilliant.I cannot wait to ride the Italian job in woderland :cool1:

If you have 3 kids of those ages, you might also enjoy Ontario Place, which isn't too far from where you're staying. It has a mini-waterpark, pedal boats, flume ride and other fun things.

There's also Centreville in the Toronto Islands -- you take a ferry to get there, and it has some rides, as well. Harbourfront's pretty cool, oo.

Love the Delta Chelsea - it is the only place that we stay at when we go to Toronto. Very upscale and nice.

Depending on when you'll be here in August, Cirque du Soleil's new touring show Corteo could also be at Ontario Place (actually, their circus tent will be set up outside of Ontario Place in the parking lot) during your visit.

The Delta Chelsea is nice, and the water slide is cool. It is located downtown, close to alot of attractions. It is walking distance to alot of shops and restaurants (my favourite -Marche Movenpick in the Hockey Hall of Fame building). I am in that area 2-3 times a year in business, I prefer the Sheraton Centre, but the Delta CHelsea is excellent too.

It has been almost nine years since we stayed there for part of our honeymoon but I remember it being very nice! There were two pool areas at that time. One for adults (relaxation area) and another for families and kids. The one thing I remember distinctly is how clean the place was. I know that seems weird but it really struck me for some reason. If it is the same or better you will enjoy your stay for sure. :cool1:
