Hi, i have a few questions...

We found a good price for flights. We will probably go from London (via Atlanta) to San Francisco for a few nights then to Orlando for a few nights then back to london (via atlanta).

First question is, how are Delta? on the outbound flight we can get a 777 with seat back TVs but for going back to london we will have to be on the 763 because it is much more expensive on other flights. So has anyone flown on the 763s how are they? how are the 777s?

Second question is on the way to San Francisco there is 3 hours inbetween flights at atlanta... this should be enough time shouldnt it? On the way home there is a choice of one hour and two hours in Atlanta... how much time should we give between flights?

The last question is reguarding lap tops. Do you know if Laptops can be used on flights (specifically Delta). Last year on an American Airlines flight i remeber i saw someone watching films on their laptop. I have searched on Deltas website but can only find it mentioned in the buisness class section of the website.

Thanks for any help :earsboy:

I can help with one of your questions.

I have flown to Orlando via Atlanta with Delta. I believe we had about 1 1/2 hours between flights. This was ample, but it was a few years ago before the increased security. I'm sure that 3 hours will be plenty of time.

I can't remember what we did on the return flights. The mind must be going!
I think I would allow a couple of hours just in case of delayed flights etc.

Delta are a fairly good airline - we flew with them two years ago and will be going back with them later this year to Orlando via Atlanta.

Three hours is plenty (probably even too much) time at Atlanta. You'll get an underground train between the International Terminal and the rest of the airport once you've cleared customs, but it's quite an easy airport to navigate after that.

On the return trip, as your luggage will have already been checked through, you should be able to do the one hour connection. Maybe a bit rushed, but I don't see you missing the flight.

While you could opt for the two hour, it's not like Orlando airport where there a lot to do - just a small food court and only a few shops, so don't feel that you're missing out or anything.

Just returned this morning on a delta 763 flight. Perfectly adequate and ok. You can use laptops on the flight. You need a good two hours between flights in Atlanta. It was an easy enough airport to negotiate. Came back via cincinatti (sp!?), much smaller airport and, again, very easy.

If you want to save some money, you can always fly into/out of Atlanta and take the 8-hour drive down into Orlando. Theres even a nice outlet mall and a few Wal-Mart's and things along the way to get stuff you need for the trip.
