Delta has extended the rebooking deadline for flight credits thru 2023, with travel thru 2024. That is extremely generous. I wonder if other airlines will follow.

Delta’s new rebooking policy effective January 2022

From USA Today:
The Atlanta-based carrier said the expiration date for outstanding travel credits and any credits issued this year to passengers who cancel flights has been extended through 2023. Travelers just have to book the new trip by the end of 2023, for travel through 2024.

I figured they will--Im still trying to submit my claim to insurance from Feb of 2020 when we had to cancel when my mom was placed in hospice

insurance doesnt pay until the credit expires without use--I really dont want to wait any longer on this claim

any thoughts here on whether or not other airline will join in — and/or how long they will take to announce?

If UA and AA are going to follow, they will do so by the end of next week. They may not want to because it keeps the liability of the credits on the books for two more years. I'm going to guess an extension is announced by one of them Tuesday, and the other by Friday. I don't think either will match the generous terms that DL put out.
