Dell's Shipping how long?

Does anyone know how long it take dell to ship an item out? I placed an order today and choose 2nd day delivery. But it say 2nd day from the day it ships. So how long does it take for them to get it together and ship? Can anyone help?

I purchased a Dell in October. I seriously did not think they had to build the computer. Apparently they do I had to wait about two weeks for it to build then it came within the two days. You can check the status online if you have the transaction id.

My DH had a horrible experience with a Dell order a few years ago and we will never ever purchase anything from them. He finally canceled the order before they completely ruined our Christmas gift plans for our kids.

Guess what else? Dell doesn't care one bit if a customer is unhappy and we found out that by inquiring about the status of our order which was late, the order, which hadn't shipped yet, was pushed to the back of the fulfillment queue. They were so disorganized and incompetent (as a company) I'm surprised they are still in business.

I have owned Dell computers for the past 10 years and have never had a problem. That includes 2 desktops, 3 laptops and our recent addition, a mini. I had trouble with the video card on one laptop which was taken care of in

If you look at your order - it will show you a date for when to expect delivery. Go to Dell and sign in. Look at recent orders. Example - I ordered the Mini on 11/27/09 with expected delivery on 12/11/09. It was received by FedEx on 12/10/09.

If you ordered a fasttrack, they are promising the computer in 48 hours.
