Delicious TS meals which are not buffet ?

My DH like TS - but not buffets, he says too many fingers = too many germs.

So, I need some advice on TS, since my DH said no to Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Biergarten, 1900 Park Faire, Cape May and other TS we loved in the past.

We are DH, DW, teen DS & teen DD.
We pay OOP, and could do up to $120 - $160 for a delicious, worth it, TS dinner.
I would prefer to pay under $120 dollars for our OOP meals.

Could you name a few TS we may try for our next trip ?

I could start a list of what I think we may do:
LTT for lunch
The Plaza Restaurant for lunch
Tony's for dinner (DH & DD says it is a must)
Garden Grill for dinner
50 PT for dinner
Maybe Cindy's for breakfast - depending on the expense of our other meals
Coral Reef for lunch


Other suggestions ?

First off, jump on the menu button and go over the menus and jot down the places that seem to appeal. food is such an individual preference that it's difficult to recommend what would work for you and DH. It sounds like you may want to splurge on a Victoria and Alberts. Over the years we've enjoyed Le Cellier in Canada, the California Grill at the Contemporary, Ohanas in the Poly, Rose & Crown in England, Tuto in Italy, Mamas, Sci Fi, Brown Derby in DHS, Yak & Yeti in AK, TRex in DTD, etc....see what I mean about great TS choices Maybe you want to explore resorts along with parks, so don't hesitate to set up a dining experience in any resort....Yachtsman's steakhouse, for example, and then boat around to Boardwalk and explore there

I'm sure that you will get MANY suggestions coming along. I would wager that by the end of this thread nearly every TS restaurant in WDW will have been recommended (or panned)

Everyone has different preferences and tastes, but here are a few of our favourites (non-signature, no buffets, no shows):

MK: LTT
AK: Yak n Yeti
DHS: 50s Prime Time, Mama Melrose, Sci Fi
EPCOT: the mother lode. Pick one. Or choose: La Hacienda, Via Napoli, Rose & Crown, Marrakesh, Les Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Tokyo Dining
Poly: Ohana
AKL: Boma, Sanaa
DTD: Raglan Road
WL: Whispering Canyon

I"m not a huge buffet lover either. Not so much who touches the food. But more of less that I need to get up 15 times with 2 kids to get it.

We are there for 10 days and our doing CP dh favorite breakfest and Tusker house breakfest for the kids. Other than that everything else is non buffett. I think everything you have looks great. Dh don't mind the buffet he can get his food and sit. While I jump.LOL

For MK lunch (simple lunch with the abilty to order adult beverages-away from the crowds) These are solid performers over the last decade
Kona at PR
GF Cafe at GF
Garden View Tea Room at GF (good for mom & daughter experience..even dads too) found ordering ala carte best fit my taste and needs

We would personally rate some of the buffets on your OUT list better than Tony's. So here are a few suggestions for a MK area dinner:

California Grill at CR

Alternatives for DHS or Epcot is to visit the Epcot Resort Area resorts by walkway or Boat:
Flying Fish (Dinner) Boardwalk
Shulas Steak House (Dinner) Dolphin Resort

When I have to recommend just one dinner to people who want to have a great meal and experience, I recommend Sanaa.

LOVE IT!!!!!

Seriously, it's been open two years and I've eaten there on all three of my trips that I've had during that time. The food is excellent, the decor is beautifully whimsical, and you can't beat the huge windows looking out on the savannah with animals walking by while you dine.

We love Cali Grill for our "fancy" dinner. We think the food and view make it worth 2 TS credits. Other restaurants we love are 'Ohana, Tutto Italia, Teppan Edo, Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona. We like to try new restaurants every year so this year we're adding Bongo's and Captain's Grill....
