I love classic Disney movies. Pollyanna had such a good message too. I remember crying so hard at the end when she got hurt. The Parent Trap is another great Haley Mills movie.

Oh my, page 15, I really am late to the party.:sad2: I hope my status as last reports light fixture pic winner saved me a space. Going back to read now.

Great idea for the character countdown :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

And you started with one of my favorites too. aww the Glad Game, don't you think everything in this world would work better if heads on all the countries played the Glad game:rotfl: I'm glad my boys are asleep already and I have some DIS time, that is two for me:lmao:

Keep them coming....popcorn::

Well, glory be! Where have I been and how have I missed your update? Your PTR moves so fast I miss it when I am stuck at my DIS blocking yucky place (aka work) all day. :headache:

Love the idea of counting down with characters. Perfect! Add me to the list who hasn't seen Pollyanna. :sad2: I have to update my Netflix queue in prep for this trip! But I have heard of the glad game and try to practice it as often as possible.

As Kristen and others have said, I'm glad about my DIS friends and the opportunity to share my Disney obsession! :)

80 days sounds SO much better than 90! :thumbsup2

Oh I love your countdown game!! It's so different than what I've seen on other PTR! I sadly have never seen Pollyanna either. Guess I'm going to have to work on that!

I think that everyone needs a little bit of "The Glad Game" in their lives.

From Wikipedia....
Pollyanna's philosophy of life centers on what she calls "The Glad Game", an optimistic attitude she learned from her father. The game consists of finding something to be glad about in every situation. It originated in an incident one Christmas when Pollyanna, who was hoping for a doll in the missionary barrel, found only a pair of crutches inside. Making the game up on the spot, Pollyanna's father taught her to look at the good side of things—in this case, to be glad about the crutches because "we don't need 'em!".

What are YOU glad about? ;)

I am pretty certain I have seen Pollyanna, but so long ago I don't remember the movie. I LOVE this Glad Game. I need to implement that in my life!

I'm in the process of adding Pollyanna to my Netflix queue right now.

I'm so excited for your big DIS meet! You ladies are gonna have a blast. I wish my dates lined up! But, I'll live vicariously through the TRs. :goodvibes

I love your countdown idea! I haven't seen Pollyanna for years... I will have to get that. Netflix is gonna wonder why all of a sudden there is a run on this movie! :lmao:
:rotfl: Netflix can thank me for that!

Thanks for de-lurking! I think this trip is going to be lots of fun, I really can't wait!

Oh yes, I love The Parent Trap too. I have to admit that I like the Lindsay Lohan version too, it's a very good remake but I still love the original.

Of course!! There will be another contest for this PTR too! Happy to have you here! :goodvibes

Really, everyone should play the Glad Game. I have been playing it with myself over the last few days. It's fun!

Pffft to work getting in the way of your DISing! :headache:

Yes, update that Netflix queue!

I'm glad about my DIS friends too!! :goodvibes

Thanks! I like having some sort of countdown!

I can't wait to meet up with everyone, it's going to be great. I think there will be some great TR fodder with all of these meets! :rotfl2:

I can't remember when I've seen Pollyanna! I really miss the days before every station on tv was a network with set programing. I loved that you could wile away an afternoon just watching blocks of old movies. I always loved when they'd do old Disney movies.

The Hallmark channel shows quite a few of the older Disney movies on Saturday mornings. I haven't seen Pollyanna on there in awhile though.

Now...don't get used to characters everyday! I wanted to put one up today though as I am bored at work.

Merlin has always been one of my favorites. The Sword in the Stone is one of those few "kid" movies that my Dad actually liked to watch with us. A few others were Swiss Family Robinson, Flight of the Navigator and The Journey of Natty Gann. I have fond memories of curling up in my Dad's lap watching Merlin and Wart's adventures.

Merlin is another one of those characters that I wish I could meet at WDW. He used to do meet and greets and The Sword Ceremony back in the day but that has been discontinued for sometime.

Merlin is on my dream list of Disney characters to meet!

Random Movie Facts:
*Character designer Bill Peet gave Merlin Walt Disney's nose.
*The first Disney animated feature with songs by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.

I've been working on lists...are you surprised? I've made one for each park, resort and even MNSSHP. Today I am going to share Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom Not Miss List:
*Hall of Presidents.
I watched a clip on YouTube of President Obama filming his speech with the imagineers, it is so neat how they do that! I really can't wait to see the new show.
*Haunted Mansion.
*Pirates of the Caribbean.
*Carousel of Progress.
*Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.

I haven't done this in years and years, probably since I was 13. I want to take pictures from the Treehouse.
*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
I braved this last trip and even though I was scared, it was fun. I want to go again!
*Peter Pan's Flight.
*It's A Small World.
*Winne the Pooh.
*Dumbo.

I have to ride this again. I want to ride both at night and during the day.
*Mickey's Philharmagic.
My favorite 3D Movie on property!
*Afternoon Parade
I have never seen this. Has this changed with the Celebration theme? I am pretty sure it's not the same as the Move it Shake it parade. I don't know, I am little confused about all of that.
*Spectromagic if it is showing.
I don't think it will be, I am still holding out hope though.
*Aladdin's Magic Carpets.
*Blurry Dumbo Photo.

I will get this done! I will not miss trying again.

I think I read that Merlin does a meet n greet at MNSSHP (at least he did in in years past) cross my fingers for you!

I searched all over the place for him last year. We even asked multiple CM's if he was going to be out. I couldn't find him. I still have my fingers crossed though because I went to the first party of the season last year, maybe he will be out at a later one. :worship:

I love how you are choosing the non-traditional characters! Merlin is so funny in The Sword in the Stone -- I would love for you to be able to meet him! That would be such a magical moment for you! :goodvibes

I love Merlin! I'm a huge fan of the book "The Once and Future King" that the Sword in the Stone was based on. The musical Camelot was also based on it too. I can't even count how many times I've read it. I definitely recomend it for a good read. I love the wizards duel with Mad Madam Mim. One of my favorite scenes in any Disney cartoon!

Hey LL---love your list of characters!!!! SO much fun!!!

I would love to see a picture of the inside of the mailbag if you can do that!!!! TIA!!!

Were you inside my head last night?;) Kid you not I was going to type how about Sword in the Stone :wizard:when I was commenting on Pollyanna last night. but I don't have a favorite character in that movie, just fond memories watching it:) And I too watched flight of the navigator much growing up. I got the "best of both worlds":lmao: because I had a brother and all my cousins were boys so we all watched all the girl movies and boy movies, where we avoid princess movies in our home now:confused3 (when DH is home), though my 4 yo is in love with the little mermaid:ssst: don't tell my DH.
Can't wait to see whats next popcorn::
Love your lists, I'm an avid list maker too

Great list! :thumbsup2

I will tell you the Hall of President's was AWESOME! I had never been, they opened it while we were there so it was very special!

NEAT -- even my boys were engaged.

Great list! What about Buzz? I'm making a list today for MK.

You are going to spoil us with your character countdown and then we are going to bug you to post them everyday.
