Crossroads is a "strip mall" or collection of stores and restaurants directly across highway 535 from Disney property in Lake buena Vista. Try Crossroads Mall Lake Buena Vista in your Google search.

We go to the TGI Fridays sometimes and I've been to the Taco Bell.

Just don't go to the grocery store there. NOT recommended.

It's basically a collection of restaurants... almost anything you could want. I live basically across the street from it.

There's a McDonalds, a Hooters, Sweet Tomatoes, Buffalo Wild Wings, TGI Fridays, etc.

Sweet Tomatoes is amazing, it's by the same company who owns Souplantation.

Also, Buffalo Wild Wings has good food, but don't go there on Wednesday nights, that's karaoke & College Program club night, and according to my roommates, it's packed.

ETA: As for where it is - at the exit from Disney World property by Downtown Disney (the smaller gate), it's across the street from there, pretty much. I don't remember which way you turn, but there is a huge sign that says "Crossroads."

ZerotoHero, could you tell me if Goodings is still open?

Thanks.

I wasn't sure where to post this question, so I'm starting here and see what happens!

Basically, I've been reading up on a few last minute things for my trip on Sunday, and keep coming across the occasional reference to an area called Crossroads, which I ascertain is near LBV. It seems to have a few shops and restaurants, but I can't seem to find out any specific info on it. And I'm a bit curious!

I can't find a website for it, and a google search doesn't throw up anything very useful at all. So I'm wondering if perhaps it's actually all closed down now as it seems strange I can't get any more details.

Can anyone help and fill in the blanks? Is it still open, and what exactly is it and what's there? And finally, where is it? The info I can find seems to indicate it's near DTD, but I can't get an address for it or anything to find out.

Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

You can use 12561 South Apopka-Vineland Road Orlando, FL 32836 as the address. It's just off State Road 535 (aka S. Apopka-Vineland) near exit 68 of I-4.
The shopping center is of somewhat historical Disney interest as it was developed by Disney Development Company in 1988 on what was then Disney property (across SR 535 from Disney's Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotel strip). At the time it was intended to bring additional services to the area to support Disney's guest and not to compete with Disney's Walt Disney World Village shopping area that featured a few specialty shops and maybe a restaurant or two. The WDW Village was located on a small body of water and is now the location of part of Downtown Disney's Marketplace.
Currently there are few restaurants (mostly fast food places but it is the location of Johnny's Hideaway and a lot of people at DIS talk about Sweet Tomatoes that's there, too). There's a Pirates Cove mini golf course in the back of the property. And a really over-priced grocery store (Goodings) is there, assuming that they haven't been closed in the past few months (bankruptcy left this as the only Goodings location from an area chain that once included about 20 stores).

When driving to the Crossroads Plaza from WDW property follow the signs to Downtown Disney and once you drive past there turn on Resort Plaza BLVD. Once you do that drive straight and you will see the Crossroads Plaza which is located acorss the street past the traffic light, so you can't miss it.

Now if your not coming from WDW property just take Interstate 4 to exit 68. If your coming Eastbound you will turn left off I-4 and if your coming Westbound you will turn right off I-4.

Crossroads also has a Flipper's Pizzeria and a terrible Fudrucker's. I stopped going to Goodings when I realized there was a Publix down the street aways in the Little Lake Brian area across from the premium outlet mall.

There's also a Winn-Dixie supermarket about a mile North of Crossroads on South Apopka-Vineland Road. It is a full service supermarket that was very convenient to the Cypress Pointe Grand Villas.

There is also a macaroni grill, Chili's restaurant (my kids favourites, and can't beat 2 for 1 margarittas!)Joe's Crab Shack, and Steak place, IHOP, Walgreen's Giordanos Pizza, Perkins, and Bahama Breeze to name a few more restaurants!

Actually Bahama Breeze is not located in the Crossroads Plaza. It's located across the street from exit ramp off I-4 in the same parking lot as the Golden Corral and along the way to the Premium Outlets.

Just another local chiming in: avoid Goodings at all costs. Dirty and ridiculously overpriced. Hit Winn Dixie up the street, or for a truly pleasurable shopping trip, drive the extra 5 minutes to Publix.

For the record, Chilis and Macaroni Grill are down the street as well, opposite direction from Bahama Breeze. Crossroads has:
  • TGI Fridays,
  • Chevy's (Mexican chain),
  • Buffalo Wild Wings (overrated sports bar, Alehouse down the street better),
  • Red Lobster,
  • Johnny's Hideaway (upscale place),
  • Perkins (kind of like Denny's for old people),
  • Pizzeria Uno,
  • Flippers (best chain pizza in Orlando),
  • Fuddruckers (burger place, not the best of that chain),
  • Sweet Tomatoes (my favorite of the group),
  • McDonalds,
  • Quizno's Subs
  • Taco Bell and
  • some Indian place.
Also a fun pirate-themed mini golf course.
