Okay you chose the wrong event to attack me on considering I lost family in the Holocaust but maybe you should go research the genocide occurring every day in Darfur or Rwanda today. In addition to the number of people dying of AIDS in Africa or starving to death because there is not enough food to feed the world. The world pre-industrialization was bad in its own way but the world today post-industrialization is bad in its own way as well and they cannot be compared easily and you definitely cannot make a blanket statement like that without historical evidence of which you have none. The holocaust, World War I, World War II, yeah they were all bad....but they cannot be compared to events occurring today because we are in a war and we could possibly see World War III in our future.

Do some research before arguing a thesis like that.

Umm I guess my post never got posted... I meant to say SOME...

BUT in todays society there could very well be another holocaust because people cant accept others for who they are. THATS THE PROBLEM. Im sorry for making a "blanket" statement but all I was saying is that as a Canadian it is not OUR fault that Bush went into Iraq and spend 700 billion on something so pointless...HE COULD PUT THAT MONEY TOWARDS CANCER RESEARCH.

I'm an American. I know why the americans went to war. I know why your country followed suit. I remember the day that we declared war. I remember why. Yeah, cancer research is good, but thousands of americans DIED on AMERICAN soil, and thats why WE went to war.

Oviously you have spent more time studying it than others and you want to let us know that you know everything about US history that others including me dont know since people like me fall asleep in history class and have B's in that class and oviously you are in your 20's but you dont need to treat someone like there stupid since you apparently know everything about the subject

I wasn't treating him like he was stupid. I was telling him that his argument needed support and evidence.
And yeah I am in my 20s and I am studying history in order to share the correct history of the entire world with other people. One of the main responsibilities of historians is to share their research with the public....thats what I am doing.
