Please indulge my "what if" game here, but just wondering if it's possible to develop a delayed allergy to soy?

DS14 mos has a milk allergy. He was on hypoallergenic formula from 3 mos to about 9 or 10 mos. Then, he was was switched to soy formula. Seemed to do well. Since 13 mos, he's been on soy milk. In the last week, he's vomited 3 or 4 times after his bottle. It's very similar to his reaction to cow's milk - intake, vomit, ready for fun! I don't think it's an actual illness and he can eat table food fine, without getting sick.

He's also had a lot of loose bowel movements since switching to the soy milk (off the formula). I'm calling the doctor tomorrow, but just wondering if it's possible he's allergic to soy now, too.

Thanks!

You can develop allergies or sensitivities to any food at any time. Definately call the doctor and see what he/she says.

I never had allergies at all until I was 12 years old. Then I got the outdoor allergies, grass, flowers etc. Now in the last few years I have developed the allergies to dust. Those aren't too bad unless I am cleaning out closets or the attic.
