Yes, but you must say 'He's coming right for us', before you shoot 'em.

Simply say: Sorry deer, it's not a holly day:confused3

The ivory soap works, and I use it in my orchard every year. I cut the bars into thirds, drop a piece into the toe of a hosiery leg or kneehigh, and then tie the stocking onto a branch. Before I did this, I never saw fruit on the lower branches of my trees. Now, I have peaches, apples, and pears.

To help the soap last longer, I like to set upwrapped bars of Ivory out in my closet to dry out so they last longer, letting them set for at least a month before putting them outside in the stocking.

my hairdresser has clients who ask her to save the sweepings from her haircuts. apparantly the deer don't like the scent it gives off (too much human????) so people scatter it around the areas they don't want the deer getting to (primarily ornamental and vegetable gardens).

If you've seen the movie "The Rookie", this is how they kept the deer from eating the grass on the high school baseball field....spread human air around the field.

That's what my aunt uses in my grandma's yard. She's a hairdresser so she cuts our hair in my grandma's house then easy cleanup=pick up the sheet that collected all the hair and shake it out outside. She's been doing it since my grandma moved in there maybe 8 or 10 years ago so I guess it works. I know I've never seen any deer there.

Deer don't like onions so you could try making "onion juice" and spraying it on your bushes. I know around here they recommend planting onions to keep them out of the gardens in summer.
