we are 2 families going on our first vacation together! What do you think? Dedicated or lockout? pros and cons? thanks!!!!!!! oh, we're staying at SSR

A lockoff will give you a queen bed and a double sofa sleeper in the second bedroom with a separate exit door and a kitchenette. A dedicated would give you 2 queens in the second bedroom, no second exit, no kitchenette. If the family in the second bedroom has young kids going to bed early (assuming the parents would be in the living room spending time), would they be more comfortable with a room that does not have it's own exit? On the other hand, would the second family like having their own small kitchen area?

Another thing to consider is how much "together time" you will have - we brought friends who used the lockoff. They left a day before we did - so they had to get up early one morning - having an exterior door allowed them to do that without disturbing our kids asleep on the hideabed. If one family will keep different hours than the other, a lockoff is nice.

Thanks! I think we did the right thing by reserving the lock-off. I think it will be more flexible for both families! Thanks so much!!
