Hi there, we are doing a split stay at WDW in April. We have a dedicated 2-bed at VWL for 8 nights and then the same at OKW for 6 nights.

There will be 7 of us (me, DH, our 3 kids, MIL and FIL). The plan was for the two couples to 'take turns' to have the master suite (one couple at VWL and one at OKW) but I was wondering about access to the bathrooms. Is it possible, in a dedicated 2-bed, to access the bathrooms from anywhere else in the villa other than the bedrooms (if that makes sense)? Obviously, it isn't a problem for us to access the bathroom through the room where our kids will be sleeping but not sure that the in-laws will want the hassle of having to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom :confused3

This is our first time in a unit other than a studio so I'm not really sure of the layout and how it would work best, with our family configuration. Grateful for any help or advice please.

One can access the Master bathroom from the living room. There is only one access for the second bathroom.

Where are MIL and FIL sleeping when you are in the master? If in the living area then yes they will need to either go through the second bedroom to get to the bathroom or use the master which has a door from the living area but only at VWL, I think at OKW the master bathroom is only off the master bedroom.

Claire ;)

At OKW, buildings 11 to 29 only have access to the master bathroom through the bedroom. When the second phase was built, buildings 30 to 65, a second door was added through the laundry room to the master bathroom.

DebbieB has made an important distinction here (darn - she beat me to the punch) that people should be aware of. If access to the master bath from the living room is important to you, be sure you note on your reservations that you would like building 30 or higher.

Thanks for all the replies. If the villas at VWL have access to the master bathroom from the living area, I think we will take the master at VWL and the in-laws can then use the master bathroom without having to worry about disturbing us.

At OKW, if we have a building number below 30, DH and I can just go through the 2nd bedroom to use the bathroom.

Many thanks - makes it a bit easier to plan out the sleeping arrangements now :)
